nebaker417@charter.net ot nebaker@excite.com. My problem is I lost almost all of my work from the Familt tree program.I was wondering if you have it in your files. Please advise and thanks. God Blessings Nadine

Why do you do genealogy? Love of the history of the family and the unexpected places it takes me.
Comments:
I came across your name researhing the family of Arthur Meness McFarland (My great, great grandfather). I have a copy of the Ben McFarland document about the family, but was never sure who he was. As usual, all of my "McFarland" ancestors died before I became interested in genealogy.

I am the great granddaughter of Josiah Mims. I thought that we had descended from Samuel Mims at Fort Mims Alabama. I also thought that we had Cherokee ancestors, but I see no evidence of that in your work. This is great information. Thanks

Their son, Allen,b. 1801 and Maria Rowland, b.?, had a son names Samuel Clark, b. 1855. SC married Elbina Terry, b.1858, and their son, Samuel Lee, b. 1874, is my maternal grandfather. He married Bertha Stella Bird, b. 1888. Their daughter, Bina Lee, b. 1912, is my mother. She married Robert Lee May, b. 1914, and I was b orn in 1939 (birth name given: Elisabeth Ann; changed legally to Catherine Anne MacDonald upon divorcing James Finkbeiner, b. 1938. I have 3 daughters by: Heidi Catherine Finkbeiner Putnam, b. 1962; Robyn Elisabeth, b. 1963; Kristen Amy, b. 1969.
I was glad to come upon your site. I have one cousin who could provide Y-DNA proof of connections with people across the pond for the John Martin Sr line. Otherwise, we've hit a brick wall, haven't we?Carry on. Catherine

when I was little my dad would tell me about his family and the past and then we would look through an old box of stuff that came from my grannies house, it excited me. I love history and it's always an adventure. I have been trying to my husbands side and my own. His side is hard. My side is sorta. My grandma Jordan, can't trace her side, my grandpa jordan all the way back to 1749 portgual, on my dads side my Grandpa Howard, back to the indian wars and my grannys side no luck her parents immigrated here from sweden, but she was born in Canada on their way here. I can find no record of her last name anywhere. It was nordgren, someday maybe. I guess everyone needs something that they are passionate about.
