Hi; My mother was Marie Aurora Jacqueline Simoneau (Jacqueline) and her parents were Omer Simoneau and Irene Deneault. I have never been to Quebec or met any of my relatives there however I am planning a trip this summer to Quebec City and Montreal and would like very much to meet some cousins and see some family sites. I am trying to find more information on my grandfather Joseph Simoneau born Aug 21, 1910. His father was Walter Simoneau they are thought to have lived around the Beebe/Derby line area. My grandmother Gertrude was a Pepin.They lived around the small towns at the U.S. Canadian border in Quebec. I have an uncle who is a Pepin who at one time lived in Lenoxville. Is your family connected to this Simoneau family?

My great grandmother was Marie Emma Simoneau who married Emmanuel Provencher 1n 1875 in St-Valere, Cte Arthabaska, Quebec. They migrated to Thompsonville, Connecticut around 1891. Any information about Marie emma Simoneau would be appreciated

My grandmother was Marie Rose simoneau. I can find her in the 1901 census St Roserie, drummond under the name Simoneau. Her father was Henry and Mother was Celina (Delpe-Pariseau. Most of the family migrated to Thompsonville (Enfield), Connecticut around 1910 and changed the family name from Simoneau to Fortin for some unknown reason.

I was born in the Rockland Ontario region East of Ottawa in 1960. We still have many Simoneau in the area, my father Paul is retired there and enjoying life, as a retired person should. I have been in the Canadian Forces (Navy) for 27 years now and may make this a career one of these days. Nice to see stuff on the family, I have been told that the Simoneau family is one of the few that are all related in Canada because our roots all came from one area in France.

I have a list of my ancestors all the way to Rene Sanschagrin dit Simoneau dating , along with their wedding date and their spouse. I asked my grandmother many years ago if she had a list, so that's what she sent me. I also have a picture of Michel Sanschagrin and his wife dating back to 1700. My brother happens to be the 6th Michel Simoneau from that line of decendents. She told me most of the Simoneau's were farely large men and very strong, and were either Iron workers or Woodsmen.
