This is my great-great-grandfather. He emigrated to the U.S. sometime before 1858. I was always told that his father's name was Lars Larsen.
I found someone that comes very close to this description that was born in Rinkobing county (listed as Her i Sognet [Vildbjerg]) whose father was listed as Lars Jensen. The problem is his birthdate wasn't listed so I don't know if it matches. I found the entry on the website "Dansk Demografisk Database (DDD)" Record no. 255. How can I find that person's birthdate to see if it matches my great-great-grandfather's?
Also, family stories about Jens involved a city that we (Americans) call Flakkesberg (spelling may be wrong). I don't know if that was a real city, if that was where he lived or what, but I thought it might be helpful in narrowing down the search.

He is remembered as 'John' rather than August. I believe he and his wife, Louisa Matilda Stenberg, came to America in @1882. She was born 6 Nov 1859 in Stockholm. They lived in Warren, Pennsylvania until at least 1886. Sometime between 1886 and 1890, they moved with two children born in Warren,PA (Charley John Johnson and Selma Louisa Johnson) to Crookston, Minnesota. August John died there, Louisa moved to Oregon and remarried.

My Father (recently passed away) was adopted at a young age. Not something our family found out about until near his passing. His adopted last name was Pedersen and adopted parents were Anna & Laurits Pedersen in Ramlose. Apparently he had two siblings and they were all orphaned due to their parents death in an automobile accident. Some years ago I posted a question on the forum of the 'Digitalarkivet' website about my Norwegian ancestor.
At the time two people read my question and began a dialogue on the forum about who my ancestor might be. They also did some research on my behalf. Although a lot of discoveries were made, I was still unable to prove without doubt that the person in question was the correct ancestor.
I have taken their findings and edited it into a readable note form.

Trying to trace when and how my ancestor Theodor (a.k.a. Anthony) Gruner came to be in Australia. He emigrated approx 1858, and married in Melbourne in 1864 a woman named Elizabeth Homan (nee Brooker). He was a musician who lived in Collingwood. He died in 1873. Anna was born of Norwegian parents Siver Steffensson and Carin Jonsdatter in Sweden. Siver was born in Solor Hedmark Norway in 1813, and Carin was born in Sweden. According to the Emibas database, Anna emigrated 25 Nov 1861 to Norway from Jarpliden Varmland to Asnes in Hedmark, Norway. Her marriage and the birth of her daughter, both presumably occurred in Norway. The daughter's Norwegian name is unknown, but she was known as Serena in America. They emigrated to America in the summer of 1873, perhaps in July.

I would like copies of their Birth Record, Marriage Certificate, Their Address(es), who their Parents were and Address (es), Churches they belonged, any Service Records, Ocupations, their resident like SS number, What Church were they married in.
Where can I find the MOST information?

I am an American looking for the ancestors of Ole Andersen and Randi Rasmusdatter, who lived on Sandnæs Lille 40b farm in 1865 before emigrating to the United States in 1867. In the 1801 Norwegian Census, I can find no Sandnæs Lille 40b farm in Valsøfjords, Aure, but only a Sandnæs farm in Tingvold, Øre [Aure]. How do I find information on Ole Andersen and Randi Rasmusdatter between 1801 and 1865 and find information on whether or not the two farms are related?
