I really enjoy your site. I have been researching the Trynors for several years, but have been unable to confirm where Roger and Sophie Trynor (parents of Roger Trynor and Sarah Eldridge) originally came from, or what Sophie's last name was. My grandmother Susie (Trynor) White always said they came from Scotland but I haven't been able to find any confirmation of this. Has anyone had any luck in tracking down the Trynor origins?

Great site! My friends and I used to ride our bicycles as kids on the old Pennfield runways. The photos of the airport during the 40's are much enjoyed. Thanks! Did you know that there are 4 bomb shelters (above-ground cement domes covered with earth) adjacent to the runways?

Searching for a Robert Campbell's last resting place who, according to an inquest, "died by his own hand" in the late 1800's. He was born on PEI abt 1822 but lived most of his life in Pennfield/Pennfield Parish. He is thought to have married Izamiah Mc/MacGregor in Charlotte Co. Any help would be appreciated.

Looking for information on the John Black who applied for a soldier's pension in 1838. He stated that he had served as a private in the 74th Regiment. Pension documents indicate that he died Feb. 3, 1846, and that for some time before that he had been living with his son, John Black of Pennfield. In 1847, John's widow, Jerusha Black, applied for a widow's pension. She stated that she had married John in Campobello in 1793. A later document indicates that she had moved to Lubec, ME, to live with her daughter, Eliza A (Black) Francis.

My grandparents were Ranald and Olive (Nutter) Armstrong, original settlers in Pennfield. My mother was Kathleen Nutter Armstrong. Her brother was Alan Armstrong who died in Aug of 2003. I was the last of nine children born on Pea Point. Lived there untill 1946. Your Pea Point picture is mis-dated, it was probably taken between 1939/1945. If you are interested, I have one, taken in the 1920's, a bit blurey,but shows all the buildings.
I went to school at Trout Brook, 1947/49. Attended the "new school" at Pennfield Corner, for two months, when it first opened.

I am tracing all HENDERSON lines in Charlotte County trying to find descendants of Robert HENDERSON and his sons Robert and/or John Nelson. They came to New Brunswick in 1818 and spent a couple of years in Campobello.
I am also looking for the parents of an Eliza Ann HENDERSON married to Edmund Hartley HENDERSON who married in Pennfield 10 Jan 1868.
