Your page is very beautifully done and very interesting. The Meyer family that I am researching came to New Orleans and had children baptized in the German Luthern Church in New Orleans in 1840 and 1841. My great grandfather Jacob Henry Meyers was born in New Orleans in 1846. Other than the church records. I can find no information on Johann Heinrich Meyer and his wife Elisabetha Walter Meyer. However their daugher Dorthea Elisabetha Meyer(b. 11/22/1842 in N.O.) married Henry Donnenfelser(b. 1838 in Bavaria) in New Orleans in 1861 and I have found information on that branch of my family. I would just like to go further back.

Great site!! I am just getting started on researching my family. I have a family tree that was done by a woman in 1976. I thought that would be a good start. The first Meyer on it is Christan Meyer who married Mary Friedman. They would be my GGGGrandparents. I also have the surname Kreft on my Grandmothers side. I thought for sure when I ran across your site there would be a connection. I really dont know how accurate the family tree I have is beyond the first Meyer. Have you stumbled across any Meyer's that may be related to Mary and Christian? Thanks Heather KC,MO

Saw photos of your father while browsing Google Image Search for pictures of Remagenbrucke. My great-grandfather was a native of Baden-Wurttemberg, and my wife and I recently visited Remagen as part of a Rhein cruise to Basel, Schweiz. Enjoyed your site. I've spoken with Robert L. George in the past, and own his book "Too Young To Vote." He's a good man.
Are the Fains' of your family perhaps related to Independence, Missouri's Truman Fain, who was killed at Corregidor while on duty with the Fourth Marines?

Hy, I am just a sixteen year old, and I was wondering if you know anything about a Meyer from Germany who traveled to Western Samoa. During his stay there, he married a Samoan lady. Inwhich they gave birth to my grandfather. I dont know the rest of the story, but I was hoping if you knew some other Meyer's who knows this man, which is my great grandfather. Email me if you have any information about him.

The church is absolutely beautiful. I just thought maybe someone out there would like to here from the small town that your family lived once.
Sincerely,

Mike,
I oly can heartily congratulate you to your Website. You have put down your family-history very well. Everything is very clearly and well. Above all it is investigated very good. I know from own experience how heavily it is to receive the whole data-material and to process it later then that doesn't become boring the harvest of the family-history. Also the family-pictures are selected well and create a good impression to them, who doesn't belong to the family. One has the feeling to stand in the middle of this family. Continue so.
Dieter
