Comments:
I am searching for the parents of my ancestor, Richard Milus Meadows, born 1895 in Darlington, SC. He served in the militia in the War of 1812. He lied in Crawford County, GA until 1837 when he bought 202 1/2 acres in Houston County, Ga. In 1859 he bought land in Sumter County, below Macon in Americus. He started a grocery store called Ayers, Meadows & Co. His father may have been Jason Meadows who drew land in Crawford County as a Revolutionary War soldier in the 1827 lottery; Jason may have been Richard's uncle, but Jason was definitely a relative. Richard Meadows married Mary Elizabeth Jenkins, whose father, William Fiveash Jenkins, and mother, Marguerite Livermore Jenkins, lived in Houston county at one point. Richard and Mary Elizabeth are buried in Garden Valley, GA.

I am trying to find the parents of my Grt Grt Grandfather Elihue Corley of Red Bone Marion Co. Ga. It shows in the census records that he was born in South Carolina, and that he was married twice once to Sarah Graham, and the other Charity Ann Porter in Upson Co. Ga. I have knowledge of his children and so on, but can't find his birth date although I have his death date. I have limited information on his Obit from Marion Co. and don't know when his wife Charity Ann died.
Can someone from Marion Co. be so kind as to search for me. I would appreciate it tremendously.
My Grandfather's daughter Julia Ann married Claude Raiford, and Claude raised his children by himself due to her passing away at an early age. Lawrence was my grandfather, and Naomi was his daughter my mother.

We are looking for ancestors of Charles Roberts b 1780 in S.C. and his brother William Roberts b abt 1782-90 in S.C. they moved to Georgia around 1820.Charles is listed as executor of the estate of Elijah Law in Richmond Co., GA between 1824-28. The wife of Elijah Law was an Elizabeth Roberts. [Was this a sister of William and Charles?] Also shown as an administrator of the estate of Elijah Law was Richard Shipp, whose wife was Rebecca Roberts. [Rebecca was almost certainly a sister of William and Charles - more on her and Richard as soon as I can get it organized.] The two brothers are also noted in Columbia, Monroe, Morgan, and Jasper Counties in GA.

Both brothers are listed with their separate households on the 1830 Monroe Co., Georgia census. The census reflects William with his wife and 10 children between the ages of 1-20 years. We only know the name of the oldest child, Charles Roberts, who went to Texas with his father's brother, Charles, about 1833. The same census reflects the household of the brother, Charles, with two adult females (one older, who may have been their mother or his mother-in-law), and 5 children.

In the Simmons Family Bible, I descend from both William Simmons, Sr. and William Henderson. Their son and daughter, William B. Simmons (Jr.) and Dority (the name on her gravestone) "Dolly" Henderson Simmons are buried in our family plot in Evergreen Cemetery, Elba, Coffee Co., AL. I have pictures and a video of our family plot which I would be happy to share. The sons and daughters of many Revolutionary War soldiers are buried there.
I am filing supplemental applications with the SAR. They will not accept the translations which I downloaded from your website but need an actual photocopy or certified copy, as I am sure you are aware.
Can you please tell me where to obtain a copy that they will accept?

My Mother was Viviene Ruth Barfield, my Grandfather was Oscar Christopher Barfield, his father was Dolphus Barfield, whose father was Christopher Columbus Barfield. Christopher Columbus and Pinckey Barfield were brothers whose father was Cader Barfield. I have not been able to tie Cader's line into any other Barfield line and was wondering if you might have any information or leads. I appreciate any help that you may be able to give me. Thank you for your help and time.

I believe that my great grandfather, John Q. Thomas, died in Macon, GA as a result of being in the Civil War and being wounded. I was wondering if there is any way to find out if he was also buried in Macon and where. Thanks for your help. His wife's name was Amanda M. (Brown) Thomas.

My ancestors Jordan (Jourdain) Prim and Tamar Pierce were married in Lanier, Macon County Georgia on January 20, 1850. We also located them in the 1850 Macon County Census living with a copule names Elyatham (sp?) and Tamar Burk. We know nothing about them before this time. Any information about them would be most appreciated.

I am seeking information on Daniel V.Spencer. He was a brother of my G Grandfather. The family information that I have is he was born in Delaware Co., Ohio on 15 October, 1842. He died in Macon, Geogia on 28 October, 1860 at the age of 18. His parents and other siblings continued to live in Ohio and then moved to Fairbury, Illinois and then to Story Co. Iowa. My records are mostly from family records passed down to me.

I have now retired and have become interested in genealogy and trying to get additional information on all branches of my ancesters. I am currently living in Pensacola, FL. which is not too far from Macon.

I am wondering if there is any local information available regard ing deaths in Macon in the 1860 era? Is there a Genealogical Association or Society that might have some information?

I would appreciate any advise or help in this mater.

I am particularly looking for info on George/Sam HOBBS & John Wesley JACKSON. My grandmother, Obie HOBBS, was found on the 1910 (listed as "adopted daughter") & 1920 (listed as "niece") Macon Co census records living in household with John/Jaque & Dora/Doriana BOOTH in Marshallville. I want to know the relationship there & why she was in their household, rather than her parents, George/Sam & Willie (Terry) Hobbs. ANY information on these lines, as well as JACKSON, would be so much appreciated.
