I'm looking forward to finding mention of
Adolf Halberstaedter who arrived in the Rockhampton district in the late 1850s.
Lived in various Rocky locations, Mt Brewer, Kalka, Playfair, finally dying in the Bushley area.
I will be looking forward to further viewings your web site.
Terry K.

It is wonderful to see a history site on my home district. I was Born in The Mount and raised at Marlborough... My early relatives Joseph Broadhurst wife Elizabeth and young family, Silas, Emma, and Sarah arrived in Brisbane on the Ill fated Hannah More originally destined for Keppel Bay... written about in this site... My Great great Granny was Sarah Broadhurst who married William Henry Robert Tucker and settled on Cawarral Rd, Cawarral.. William Tucker` was both a miner and clock maker... Joseph Broadhurst owned a parcel of land for some time approximately where the North Rockhampton K-Mart shopping center now stands... Keep up the good work with this site, regards Paul Boland.....

Do you have any photos of cnr East and Denham Streets (Southern Corner) about 1865 to 1884??

Have you ever heard of Alderman Samuel Thornton Morris??

The Brisbane Courier indicated, he was just 3 weeks out from becoming Rocky Mayor when he died. The Rocky Morning Bull. said in his obituary that he was an early candidate form mayor.

Particularly look forward to what you have to say about William Pattison, (my husband's Gt Grandfather).
