My present husband is from Hamilton, Texas. Actually the town is called Star. I love this area of Texas and long for the day in which I can reside there.I have always had a thing for old cemeteries, there is so much history. Sometimes I just sit there and ponder what life was like for these folk. I always felt like God stuck me in the wrong era,,ha,ha,ha. I seem to be drawn to the 1800 era, but then again that was when most places were being settled. The hardships these people endured should never be forgotten. We have what we do today because of them. We should never forget where we came from.Texas cemeteries are beautiful and rich in history. I could spend the rest of my life visiting them without complaint. I would also like to commend the people of Texas for keeping their roadways clean, here in Louisiana people seem to think that the roads are their trash cans. You have a wonderful state and should be very proud and maybe one day I'll get to call it home too.

I was raised in Goldthwaite, but I never knew where Callie was buried. I plan to go to the cemetary next time I come up that way, and visit it. Callie was my great grandmother. I guess when your a kid, you do't think about much of your ancestors, but the older you get.......

I beleave that the directions are wrong, as to how far you travel on highway 16, before you turn onto the Bulls Creek Road. You take hwy. 16 west for about 1 mile, maby a mile hand a half, there you turn left on Bulls Creek Road. I have enjoyed visiting this site, and will search it more.
