My maternal grandmother was the daughter of John Nelson Kincade and Delilah Sparks. John Nelson was referred to by his middle name primarily during his lifetime. He lived in Jasper County, IL. His father was Hiram Kincade and his mother Nancy Bickers. On my own endeavors I believe Hiram may have initially lived in Ohio and Moved as a youngster to Kentucky. I believe he and Nancy Bickers were married in Kentucky and then moved to Indiana. The family then moved to Jasper County, IL. However, I have no data as yet as to whether Hiram made the move to Indiana and then IL as I've found no info referring to Hiram in IL or Indiana. I really hope to find any possible additional information on the Kincade/Kincaid/Kinkade family, particularly Hiram and Nancy Bickers also. I indicate the variant spellings as I've found members of that same family,(above), with all of those spellings!

I have just recently croosed paths with the surnames Waggoner, Bickers, and Mims in my family research in southern Illinois. I understand that this line was also in Washington County, Arkansas.
My gggrandmother Mariah Lodusky Barber's sister, Arletia Caroline Barber married Isham(Isaac)Waggoner(Wagoner) Their daughter married John Bickers May 27, 1858 in Williamson County, Illinois.
I have just learned of the sister Arletia, so this is all new to me. I took a trip to the area recently and have the cemetery listing for Bolton-Trammell Cemetery just outside of Stonefort, there is a Minervy A Bickers wife of James H Bickers 29Feb1873 48y. I believe she may have been John's sister-in-law.
I also have an old autograph book from the 1880's that had been my grandmother's. I am not quite sure who he was, but there is an entry dated Dec 23, 1892 by JJ Bickers. The majority of the entries are relatives, I am not quite sure where he firs into the picture, but it is implied by the verse to remember him when she reads it even though they will be far apart.

I have found several entries from several places that state Agnes and John were both born in Buckingham County and I feel this is very likely but I can find no documentation for this.
