The information regarding Richard Watson is incorrect. He was my father and in fact died in Hoover, Alabama in 1992 and is buried in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. He was born in Mobile. Please correct this information. I am his only child. His wife was Sybil Watson, still living in Hoover Alabama. I am married to Lawson Koeppel and we have one son, Watson Kipp Koeppel. Thank You.

Comments:
My GGGrandfather James Pendarvis along with his wife Isabel (Zibby) and several children moved to Alachua Florida just prior to the Civil War. Would like to have as musch information as possible about him. There was a rift between him and my GGrandfather Harmon Pendarvis. If anything is known about this I am very interested.

What family surnames are you researching? PENDARVIS; GRANTHAM; ROWE
What area are you researching? Wayne Co., GA; Alachua Co., FL
Comments:
John Fletcher Hagan born 1815 Camden Co., GA, lived in Wayne Co., GA had two daughters who both have connections to the PENDARVIS family of Alachua Co.,Florida.

1). Harriett Malissa "Malissy" Hagan born 1840 married in Alachua, Fl., Erastus L. Pendarvis, son of James Joseph Pendarvis b. abt 1796-1802.

2. Rebecca Rountree Hagan married Peter Hagan Davis in Levy Co., Fl.
Peter Davis' first wife had been Mary E. Pendarvis, daughter of George Pendarvis (b. abt 1791) and Sarah.
George and Sarah Pendarvis also had another daughter Lou Ellen "Lavilla" Pendarvis b 1844-1846, who married Robert Lee Rowe who was born Camden Co., GA 1838. Robert Lee Rowe had a brother who married Julia Ann Bohannon Pendarvis. Who was this Julia? Some say she was a Bohannon, but raised by a Fouraker family. Some say she was born a PENDARVIS and orphaned and then raised by a Fouraker family. What is odd is that Robert ROWE (b. 1838) and his brother John Rowe, had another brother, Edward Rowe whose daughter Francis Saloma Rowe married Caleb Pendarvis who I believe is my g-grandfather, Caleb P. Pendarvis, born 1860-1861. They had one son, Benjamin Pendarvis, born 1882 Baker Co., Fl. and Benjamin married Loula CARTER in 1905. They probably divorced soon after birth of Benjamin because they both re-married.

Question: Were James Joseph Pendarvis (b. 1796-1802) and George Pendarvis (b. abt 1791) in fact brothers and if so, did they have siblings and who were their parents? How were they related to Joseph (b.abt 1775-1780?) and Rachel Pendarvis of Wayne Co., Georgia?

I believe that my g-grandfather Caleb P. Pendarvis is closely related to these two Pendarvis brothers, IF he is in fact the Caleb Pendarvis who married Francis Saloma Rowe Feb 27, 1881 in Baker Co., Fl. He later married Eliza Grantham, my g-grandmother in 1888.
