Comments:	I read a comment from another sight asking for the name of John Grisham's (the writer) parents. I read in His bio not long ago that he was a 16th cousin to Bill Clinton. After some vigorous searching, I finally discovered the name of his parents, but that was as far as I could take the search because both of his parents are still living. (I don't remember their names now.)

Comments:	Killed at Chickamauga. He was in the command of Col. William B. Wood. I have original letters that he wrote to his wife Sarah between Dec. 17, 1862 and Aug. 25, 1863. Some of the people mentioned in his letters are Bill Bays, Jim and "Pea" Burney, Thomas Crabb, James Eastep, Bill Brawley,Wes McMinn, and Bennett Rose. He also wrote "General Bragg's army is here." He was my great great grandfather. Do you have him in your records?

My gr gr grandfather was a full brother to Robert Hickman Barnes. Thomas was married several times. These 2 children were from a marriage with Parathena Bishop Nelson Barnes around 1866 in oVERTON/Jackson County in Tn. Comments:	I was just nosing around today and found your info. Iverson is my great grandfathers brother. Our library has Ancestry and I just happened to look for Jennie in the census. I had found her and then found her with her brother Culvin and two of his children. Just looking at your sight reading guest book and what do I find but my husbands home towns mentioned Florence and Waterloo, Alabama. I thought I remembered the Bevis name and yes he said one of his sister-in-laws brother-in-laws is a Bevis. Just amazed sometimes at how small the world realy is.Good work on your part. I am trying to work on family lines, but get sidetracked by connecting lines. I seem to get more info I need by talking to non direct lines.

Comments:	I am searching my ancestry through the HESTER line and finding a block that I can't get passed. Peter Hester born 1849 in Indiana. On 1960 census for Monroe, Randolph, Indiana, he appears to be living with a family named SWITZER at his age of 11. That's as far back as I am able to find. Any help would be appreciated. Comments:	I have do so much research with my family line. James Belton Pickett and Pauline Pickett- cofounder of Steveport, la. They were the richest family in Louisiana. Their story is so wonderful. A historian did a paper on the Pickett's, I can email you a copy if you would like. It has all the property they owed, the sad, early death of James Belton Pickett, and the beautiful, but very sad love story of his daughter, Sallie Pickett Cummings, wed at 18, but died 6 months later. There is a picture of an oil painting of Pauline and Sallie, dressed in black, and one of Sallie in her wedding dress. Send me your email if you wish to have it. Thanks Kathy

Comments:	Uncle Walston's G Uncle was Wm. Jackson Pace and married Eva "Evie" Hester also. I have pictures of all my Grandfather's brothers and sisters- making an album, except for the two girls Rebecca "Becky" Pace who marrieda Hester and Mary C. (Ithink) who also married a Hester. Do not have anything on her. I am trying to find pictures of these two PACE girls who married Hesters in probably Franklin CO., AL. I think Mary C. was first girl born -on Marion Co.census, and then James "Jim"Pace was 2nd born, and he married into my GrandmotherPace-Pace's family- Modena Pace- d/o Lewis/Louis C. Pace and Mary Jane Benson-Franklin Co., AL. She was d/o Daniel Jack Benson and Sarah Gates. Lewis/Louis C. Pace was son of Wyche (Wyatt) H. Pace and Matilda W. Kirk- both b. in TN- he b. 1817, she b. 1818 and on census 1840-1841 as Wich. H. Pace. He ued "Wicke" Pace as name when he married Matilda Kirk in Oct. 26, 1836 in Hardeman Co., TN. They were on last census together 1850 Carroll Co., Ms. wit 5 PACE children. Wyche H. Pace died 1851 prob. in Carroll Co., Ms. Don't know who his father and mother were or siblings. Just can't find it- so far back. It was probably one of the Dempsey Paces b. NC or SC and then in Hickman and Haywood Co., TN. Supposedly married a Miss Hunt from AL. I can't find anything- can't afford census and just rely on other people's information. BUT, this is Uncle Walston's and my dad's (Louis U. Pace married Mattie Mae King) Mother's Paces. I sure wish I could find them documented. I am 63 yrs. of age, stay sick a lot. Have had surgesis for cyst in spinal column- did great in 1999, and now I have a cluster of cyst around my sacrum- go to neurologist May this year and see what he does. I LOVE my PACE-PACE famiy and I am 1/16th Cherokee Indian on my mother's Jones family. Love that too. Email me just to talk- I am here most of the time alone with my tiny poodle, 4 yrs. old. She weighs abt. 5 lbs- my best Buddy!!!!!!!!!!!

Comments:	I am researching the JACOB SMITH clan, who migrated to Conecuh county, Alabama from Montgomery county, Georgia perhaps as early as 1815, and setteled on the Conecuh River, east of Brewton. (this area was a part of Conecuh county at that time) Ranson Smith was the son of Dread/Dred Smith, and the grandson of Jacob. I believe he was a member of Company D, 16th Alabama Infantry, and was killed in action, died of wounds received in action, or died of disease while a member of that unit. Comments:	I am looking into the family of Elijah Isom born in 1759 and as far as I can determine married Mary Potts. They appear to move from VA to White Co., TN by about 1820 and live there until about 1836 and in 1840 was living in Madison Co.,AL. 1846 finds him in McMinn Co., TN where he filed for a pension; and in the 1850 Census he's with George W Isham who is I think his son and they are in Jackson Co., TN. Then in 1852 he has gotten back to McMinn Co., TN where he filed for pension again. At this point I have lost him. Considering that in 1852 he would have been about 95 years old I don't think he would have lasted until the 1860 census but you never know! I've not found him yet. Has anyone found a headstone for him or a will or any other record? In 1820 White Co., TN census there is a younger Elijah Isham listed near him. Anyone have any idea who this younger Elijah might have been? I need to determine who he is and where he might have gone. I am at this point thinking this younger Elijah might be the one who appears in the 1830 Roane Co., TN census and was thought to have beeen the son of Henry Isham who is also in the 1830 census BUT Henry Isham was also in Roane Co., TN by 1812 and if this younger Elijah is his son then he should have been paying a poll tax by 1814-1816 and no sure record has been found in Roane Co., TN yet. Comments:	just surfed in ,i live about 3 miles from madresfield court and was interested in your links with the court,the school i went to had a house called lygon and the lygon family were quite prominent in this area with a lot of street and buildings named after the lygons. the gardens at the court are truly beutiful with an amazing maze which used to take ages to find the centre of,there is a open day every august bank holiday which most of the locals go to but it always seems to rain, there is all manner of side shows ,swing boats ,cocoanut shys,dog trials/obediance and horse trials, of course they also have a beer tent which comes in handy, i have only been in the house once but it is really interesting to walk round.Also to sit round the moat with a picnic on a hot summers day is great.There is also a little animal grave yard with the plots of the owners of the courts dogs there.The estate was really big at one time with most of the farms in the area all being run by the estate, the house i live in at the moment used to belong to one of the farms of the estate and was lived in by the farm workers, if you look at some of the old maps you can see the size of the estate and you will see it was massive ,they owned most of the area between place's called upton-on-severn , malvern and powick .

Specifically, I mean Mary E Wooten, b 7-01-1876, married to John F Rodgers of MS and bore 8 (we think) children before her death on 11-11-1959. According to family stories, John was born in Tishemengo, MS, his birth name was Bullard, and he was adopted by Thomas Jefferson Rodgers and Nancy Catherine Hendon Rodgers. On the 1880 Blount Co AL census, he is listed as John A, but family bible records list him as John F. We know much about John F, but very little about Mary E. Does this sound familiar? Hope we can connect.
