I will not be able to be a very active "working" member in the immediate future because I have all I can manage being a widow with a 14 year old son, but I keep picking away at the puzzle of my family genealogy and it fascinates me. I loved last year's seminar when I was just beginning, and want to attend meetings. My family is South side Irish & German and south suburbs (Brooks Cemetery, the Sag) as well as in the city in the 1800's, and I've done most of the "easy" research and have to learn how to track more complicated things (such as Emma Flood, born around 1848 in Ireland, first wife of Joseph Dow/Dowd, born around 1838 in Ireland - Dublin, lived in New York until 1880's?). I have nothing prior to this information, and nothing concrete on the above info either).
