Md. marriage records show emaline M Carling married my ancestor Clarke in 1848 and that she converted to catholic from lutheran and I am stumped if I can find that surname Carling records in census indicate she was born in Germany and was lutheran - any ideas?

A very interesting history of the church of which I was a member from my baptism in 1945 until about 1970. Pastor Cassell married my husband and me in 1967. My mother, Gladys Richey, was the church organist for 40 years in this church. I note my mom noted in the 130th celebration. Thanks.

My father, Edgar W. Hauser, Jr. Built the current church building, first the main building and later the Sunday School wing.

I was a member of Ebenezer Lutheran Church.

My mother (Virginia Ann Johnson Hauser) says all her family were members of Ebenezer Lutheran Church. Her mother Katherine Marie Hackemeyer Johnson (died in 1973, Indianapolis) (married to Evert Alfred Johnson). I am trying to find out the name of my grandmother's mother, she was married to William Hakemeyer. Other relatives include the Steinmeier family.

Do you have anyone buried in Ebenezer or Fall Crk? Cecil Anderson Peters and father Frank E. Peters
Do you have any further info on these families? Cecil died 1-7-1947 and Frank died 12-1946
Cecil is my grandfather and Frank my Great Grandfather
Comments:
Frank's death is unknown, his car was at the edge of a creek (around Zionsville) the door was open and he was face down in the water. Cecil was so stressed by his fathers death that shortly thereafter he had a heart attack and also died. The family during this double loss never ordered a headstone for Frank. We know this is the cemetery where they are burried but cannot find them on any list. I live in Pennsylvania so if you have any info, my family would appreciate it.

While I am the adopted daughter of Bruce David Maxwell and Blanche Harper Maxwell (her parents: Charles Dayton Harper and Frances Tyner Harper, both buried in this Cemetery), my biological great grandparents: Benjamin Tyner and Elizabeth Lankford Tyner, and Benjamin's father--my great great grandfather, Harris Tyner, are buried in this Cemetery.

Blanche Harper Maxwell has many relatives buried in this cemetery.

I attended Ebenezer Lutheran Church until I was ten years old in 1937 when we moved away from Indianapolis. We did return and attend on weekends through the years. So many of the names in the church's roster and burial records are familiar to me.

I am assisting my daughter-in-law to research her family tree. Her Grandparents, William Warner MEADOWS and Phoebe Elizabeth CRUMBO Drayer Meadows are buried in this cemetery. Also her brother, Terry Lee MEADOWS, and uncle, Charles William MEADOWS. I would guess that the infant buried under R. G. MEADOWS is a relative as well. She will be so happy to see the pictures of these gravestones. Thank all of you who worked on this site, took pictures, and copied the burial information. Your efforts are very much appreciated.

Comments:
My wife and I moved to Indianpolis (Carmel), Indiana in 9/03 related to my work as a CPA in public practice. At long last, a descendant of the Steinmeier/Hackemeyer of Ebenezer history has returned to Indiana. There are not many of us left, it would seem. Where are the original church records just out of curiosity? I have several other pictures of the church and also the interior of the present church when it was decorated for Christmas many decades ago. My mother and father, Mary Katherine Hackemeyer Miller and William Ronald Miller were married there in 1958 (?), and my maternal grandmother, Esther Frances Steinmeier Hackemeyer played the organ for many years until it was decommissioned in 1986 on the eve of its 150th anniversary. My wife, daughter and I are now active parishioners of Carmel Lutheran Church (Missouri Synod).

Comments:
I thoroughly enjoyed reading the Ebenezer Lutheran Church Records. I found my 3rd great grandmother listed on the membership rolls of (Lower) Ebenezer Lutheran - After the Split in the Church in 1868. She is #58. Ruth Christian by letter Feb 27, 1870. Her maiden name was Smith m. 1st) Andrew Messersmith 21 Jun 1826 & 2nd) Edward Christian 21 Jul 1844. I noted her death was listed on page 37 without a date which was rather disappointing to me. I have wondered when she died and where she was buried.

I have been assuming that the Stilz family were members of Ebenezer Lutheran since I found that they were buried there. Now I am wondering if this is so, since they are in the Fall Creek part. I understand that you could not include copies of the church records, but is it possible to get them? I would like to know if they were members and to see the marriage records, etc. More than happy to pay for copies and postage. If you want more information on this family, I am happy to give you what I have.

parents, or parent. Some time after the 1880 census (his age 9) he changed his name to his foster parents Bryant.
It could be that Catherine Harty Bryant might be his mother, I need to check all the church record's I can find.
That is why I am looking here. Thank you very much.
