My grandmother was Mildred Bertha Sophie Kuenstler and her parents ware Bertha SophieSchumacher/William Frederich Kuenstler. Both parents buried Oak Grove Cemetery, Yoakum, Lavaca County, Texas. I wanted to add to the Friedrich Wilhelm Schumacher lineage my grandmother Mildreds sisters and brother. You do have Minnie Lou and Gustav Wilhelm. My grandmother Mildred was the oldest born March 9th, 1902 in Yoakum, Lavaca County, Texas and died July 25,1970 (Mildred was christened Jan. 15, 1911 Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Yoakum). Mildred was married to George DeWitt Waterwall born July 10,1899 in Rockport, Aransas County, Texas on Dec. 27, 1921.He died Dec.26, 1933 in Yoakum and buried also at Oak Grove Cemetery in Yoakum. He was a bookkeeper for the SAP Railroad. The second child born was Gertrude Matilda Caroline born Jan 25, 1904 Yoakum, Lavaca County, Texas died July 20,1987, buried Memorial Park Cemetery, Victoria, Victoria County, Texas, Gertrude was married to Edwin J. Grifno born Aug. 21, 1897 in Victoria, Texas. He died Feb. 6, 1984 buried Memorial Park Victoria also. Gertrude was christened at the same Lutheran Church as Mildred was and on the same day. Edwin Grifno was baker/pastry for HEB in Corpus Christi, Nueces County, Texas and they lived in Corpus and died in Shiner, Texas.
Mildreds daughter is Jean Laverne Waterwall Cannon born July 30th, 1930 was born in Yoakum, Lavaca County, Texas and lives in Victoria, Texas. She is an only child and of course my Mother. She was married to William Wood Cannon born in Heidenheimer, Bell County, Texas,on Oct.13, 1928 died March 3, 1976 and is buried in Oak Grove Cememtery
Yoakum, Texas. He was in Oilfied Management. Minnie Lou Amelia Kuenstler born Dec. 10, 1907 in Yoakum,Texas and christened in the Holy Cross Lutheran Church Yoakum, Texas Jan 15, 1911 died June 24, 1992 in Portland, Oregon and was buried at the Riverview Abbey Mausoleum, Portland, Multnomah County, Oregon. She was married to Edgar Howard Carroll in September year unknown at this time. He worked for the telephone company and died Feb. 1947 and was buried Lund, Utah. I think you have info on Gus Kuenstler, Mildreds brother. Minnie Lou was the youngest and Gus was born between Gertrude and Minnie Lou. I do have more info on Mildreds father and grandfather and ggggrandfather. They were from Brandenburg Province, Prussia. I am also researching the Muecke family from Flatonia, Texas. William Kuenstler, my ggggrandfather from Brandenburg(Perleburg), Prussia was married to Wilhelmina Muecke. Do you have any info on that family? Thank you for doing such a nice, grand genealogy job on these families. I have been researching all these families and more since the 1970's.

Name: David Schneider <david_schneider@sbcglobal.net> Date: 2007-10-14 What Families are you researching? Heinrich Habenicht Comments:
Hi Wanda, In reading the Heinrich Habenicht family history I have it mentions a Heinrich and Amalie Habenicht who were were Heinrich's parents. The history mentions that both Heinrich and Amalie both died on the journey from Indianola to New Braunfels and it is not known where they are buried. I am thinking they were probably buried along the trail somewhere since the trip was very brutal, but on the chance they were buried in a cemetery, do you know of any sources where I might try and find out where they could be buried.
Thanks,
David

You have an Excellent Website!!
I was looking at the information on Valentine Hohmann. There was another Valentine Hohmann which made things a little confusing for me. My Great Grandmother was Margaretha Hohmann. Her parents were Valentine and Maria.
Margaretha married Heinrich Holtzer. I found him on the Naturalization chart, but have been unsuccessful in finding the ship and port where he arrived. It must have been around 1846-1847. He was from Baden, Germany and I cannot find anything about his parents or siblings. Do you have any ideas where I can research? I am an Ancestry member and there are no leads here.
Thank you for your Fantastic Work on this site!
