I was looking for information on parathyroid and yahoo came up with your journal. I had the scan done yesterday, and found your site an hour before I left. I feel as if your family is my own . I was born and raised in Humboldt county until I moved to sacramento in 1995. anyway I have a referrel to a doc at the cancer center at UC davis Sacramento. and after reading your story I believe that I am prepared for anything that may happen next. Your journal ends with march 06, I am just praying that all is still going well.

Hi Rebekah, My name is Tanya and I have just started a new journal to signify a new chapter of my life. My fiance and I are to be married in December and although I already have had six children, I really crave the thought of carrying another child, one of my future husband's children. I can so relate to the desire to have a large family. I am getting older now, and worry that my timeclock is ticking. I will be 38 years in November. However, that isn't our biggest obstacle. My future husband had a vasectomy years ago, and we have scheduled for him to have it reversed in January. This could prove unsuccessful. The only thing I can say is at least we will have a shot until the doctor tells us "not a chance." I wanted to let you know that I found your journal of interest to me, as we do have so much in common in many ways. I feel for you...... we are dealing with veteren benfits as well. I just would love to read about what it's like to be pg and due (about a year after the time I was due with our third blessing) with your 5th. We would love to have a bigger family. I get MS as well. Not as bad as you, but I do the toliet hugging thing at least once a day. I used seabands and they helped a lot. They didn't stop it. I just got them at my local drug store. Are the reliefbands different?

Hi! You crazy lady! I can't believe you were up that late watching it. (of course I have NO room to talk as I couldn't fall asleep until 3) About the heartbeat. oh I must say that was one of the first things I noticed when I had fallen pregnant. My heartbeat was so "obvious" and somehow louder and more on the surface of my chest. Turned out that I have been having this symptom throughout my pregnancy (now 22 weeks) with twins ^__^

I just wanted to say that I hope for you it is round ligament pain due to being pregnant. I know I felt it when I was very early pg, before I tested actually. I also had it with my first pregnancy which was a blighted ovum, so there wasn't much stretchig going on but I sure felt it. Like you said when you cough, sneeze or get up fast from lying down or sitting, you feel it.

I'm sorry you don't like California. I would kill to be back there with my family. Maybe not so much S. California... I think I liked N California better. I grew up in North Hollywood. It was scarry sometimes and there were a lot of drugs. But I had so much love and I respected my parents too much to get involved. With both of my tests I took the test, set it down and stared at it in disbelief! Our daughter was not planned, so I was shocked when I saw the two lines. We planned this pregnancy and again I was shocked. It was only our 2nd month of trying and I thought for sure we missed our window. I can honestly say that I set them down to make sure they would work. However, with my levels being so high, I am sure they still would have been correct. Both of them turned dark, dark pink and double lines instantly.

I would take the test, wait a minute, then throw it out if I didn't see anything. Problem was, is that all of my pregnancies, the line was always faint. So I would go back later and see if a line appeared, lol!

There is enough folic acid in your prenatal vit. to cover what you need. At least that is what my OB/GYN told me when I questioned her last week.

I just read your journal on the saliva test. I used that to get pregnant with my last child it was very accurate for me. I would love to have a large family too. I thought 4 would be enough for me (big enough) but my dh insists only 3. I'm okay with that I think (I work full-time and it is hard to make ends meet while paying so much daycare but we do need the 2 incomes). We will be ttc #3 starting in November.
I look forward to following you through another pregnancy-possibly about the same time as me. I believe that although it may be hard to have a larger than average number of kids, as long as you can offer them a good future-a decent upbringing not on Welfare!, you should be able to have as many as you like. I agree with no wanting to regret no having another one. Things are tough right now (and our house is only a 3 bedroom) but I don't want to hold off having another child because I want to be done early on (I'm 28) so that I'm still young and can retire young and enjoy my grandkids. I'm sorry dh's family is pushing you guys away. I have a friend with 6 kids and her dh's family has done the same thing. Thankfully my friend's mom helps out a lot.

Thank you for the guest book entry. I was just reading yours and I would have to agree! I couldn't stand when I was working and people would always say "don't u know what causes kids yet?". I finally got sick of it and responded "yes, and Rich and I love doing it!" LOL, bad but it made them be quiet so fast because they were not ready for that answer. But you know I get those looks in grocery stores, etc. People going "she's pregnant with three little ones?" And it drives me nuts because they have no clue that we have a nice car, home, he has a great job, and I get to stay at home, so what right is it of theirs to judge! I think I'm going to start saying "are you paying my bills?" when the next person comments. LOL, honestly! :)

Hi Rebekah! Thank you for signing my journal yesterday. It meant a lot to have so many people speak up from out of nowhere- I had no idea that I have so many readers! It's amazing the things we don't know sometimes. Anyway, I really appreciate what you wrote about being able to relate to my feelings. And, I must say, you're an awesome woman! You have 4 kids already and you want another? That is so GREAT! My husband, Robby, and I want at least 4 children (but I'm guessing we'll end up with more!) and we want to adopt as well. You must love it (stressful, yes, but the fact that you're trying for another is saying something!). I admire you for wanting a big family as it seems to be rare these days. When someone says they think they'll have 1 or 2 kids, I'm truly unable to understand- I, myself, want to be pregnant and give birth to more babies for a long time to come. So, yeah, I just wanted you to know that I think you totally rock. :-)
