Dear Bob, I'm new at this page and I really didn't know it existed. I want to be updated on the things thats happening to our class mates. I am in pretty good health for an old lady of 72. Yikes!! I keep very busy with my Porcelain painting and playing the organ at our church. Fred is still working as we own our own business and don't know how to get out of it. Keep me posted. Jan

(Class of 1953) I really enjoyed exploring your website. I visit E'ville about once a year. By the way, Irene Capps (teacher in 1953) is living at the Protestant Home on Jefferson Ave (right off Washington St.) I chatted with her last year. I live in North Augusta, South Carolina.

My mother, Carolyn Lynn (Hart) graduated with the Class of 1955. I noticed that you listed her as deceased with no date so I wanted to let you know that she lived a short, though fruitful life and died much too young at the age of 29. She passed away on August 17, 1965 in Baltimore, MD. Her sister, Brenda Lynn (Gulmatico) has shared many stories and I feel like I know some of you. Thanks for sharing your photos and memories online! If anyone knew my mother and would like to share stories personally, I'd love to hear more about her life! You can reach me at DocHollywood1@juno.com. Thanks, Cheryl Hart

The reunion was FANTASTIC! The only sad part was that it was "over" too soon!
I wanted to share a note we received from Joann Wilson (Business teacher while we were students) and her husband Earl:
Our thanks to the class of 1955 for inviting us to the reunion! We had such a good time. It was so nice to visit and see so many dear Reitz faces!
Sincerely, Jo and Earl
Now we're looking forward to our Annual Reunion tonight at Wolf's Bar BQ!
It was so wonderful to see everyone at the Executive Inn...and please remember, the invitation is most sincere: "Please come to New Harmony for a visit...ANYTIME!"

I have had so much fun the past few days talking with our former teachers!
I thought you might like a few updates on them:
Virginia Capps is now living in the Protestant Home on the east side of Evansville. She will be 97 years old this December and is doing very well! She wanted me to tell everyone that she wishes she could be with us this weekend...but she really doesn't get out at night any more. She sends her best wishes to everyone!
Pat Hallinan Johnson lives on Hwy 66, just east of New Harmony. She now has house guests...but if they leave in time, she hopes to join us either Friday or Saturday.
Ray Jones lives on Kratzville Road and is so sorry he cannot be with us this weekend. He recently had hip replacement surgery and is not able to be out & about just yet. I mentioned our October 22 gathering and invited him to be with us then. He sends a "Hello" to everyone!
Ed Marlin (and wife Joyce Eakes Marlin) lives on the east side of E'ville. He was very helpful with information on deceased/living teachers. He and Joyce will both be with us on Saturday evening!
Joann Wilson (and her husband Earl) will be with us on Friday night. She has our web site address and was going to check the list to see who will be attending.
I'll share more info as it comes in!
Just a few more hours and so many of you will be here...the entire committee is ready and waiting to welcome you!!

The plans are all completed and now we're just waiting for everyone to gather in E'ville! Can't wait for everyone to get here!
Thanks Bob, for all your efforts to put this page together for us. It looks great!
See everyone in just three or four days! Welcome Home!!

Daughter of Nancy Sander Cotton Cox. Looked at your site because it's my mother's 50th reunion. I can remember at about her 15th when they were meeting at our house and I loved all the hype. (Of course, I was sent to bed before the meetings were over). I do reconize many of the classmates because my mom is such the socialite. Have forwarded this site to other relatives and I think Mom finally looked at it when she called me at work today and I clicked on to play the 'Fight Song' I had to shut it down because my co-workers didn't appreciate the RRREI-IIITZ-REITZ-REITZ-HISTORY!

Bob, where did you get that rendition of On Wisconsin? It's the jazziest (if that's a word)of RHS BOYS that I have ever heard. You should come to some of the football games. They are playing Chuck Berry, Elvis, Louie Prima, Ricky Nelson, et all during time outs and when posession changes. A real rock and roll party. I think it's great. Have fun in FLA. and don't get blown away.
