Hi, Sue!

With assistance from Oxfordshire Family History Society I now have a VERY strong candidate for the Francis Beechey who married Ann Goldicot/Coldicott in Bourton on the Hill in 1767:

From the Register of Baptisms for BAMPTON, Oxon.

1733 - 7 Oct. John & Francis, twins of John Beechey (The mother was Margaret Williams, and there were several other children of the marriage.)

According to the information I have received this was the only Francis Beechey to be born in Oxon. in the relevant time-frame (1720-1745. The only other Francis reocded in the period following this was baptised on 25 Dec. 1765 in Blackbourton, Oxon., the son of John Beechey, 'our' Francis' twin brother.

I have put up the info. on Genes Reunited; you should find me there.

More info. if you email me.

Regards

Geoff Powers

My name is John "Marty" Martin Hyatt, I live in Arlington, Texas and am a founding partner in a small lawfirm outside of Dallas. My fathers name is Ronald Martin Hyatt and his father was Vernon Hyatt. I have very limited understanding of my family roots due to the fact that my father disowned me shortly after my birth. I was a pown in a divorce and he refuses to talk with me. I think he is afraid of me because I am an attorney. I can care less about him, I figure it is his loss. I have three wonderful girls and another (unknown flavor) on the way. As I get older it has become more important to me to know where I come from. I have met a couple of Hyatt's via the internet who are distant cusins. Eventhough my own father is not much of a man, I can't help to think that there are a lot of really good people out there who I can call family who would enjoy knowing me and my family. I suppose I am okay with being the begining of a new generation, as I have nothing but the highest ambishins for myself and my children, however, I would like to know more about where I come from and have the chance to know those who were never able to get to know me or my family because of one man's selfishness. So if I am related to you in anyway (hell or if I am not) I would like to get to know you and assist you in your quest.

God Bless,

J. Marty Hyatt, Esq.

Excellent site you must of put a lot hours into compiling all that data. i've just started but already i'm addicted to it i find it so interesting.
Most of my family are from Marylebone and all seem to be bricklayers. I found a lot of mistakes on the ancestery site mis-spelt names for example Hyatt spelt Lyatt.

Thanks for your email i'll probally get back to you if you don't mind i'm waiting for some documents that will give me maiden names which is always a problem i find.
best wishes and a happy christmas
