Please pray for me. I have rare disease "Corticol Basal Degeneration". It's similar Alzheimers and Parkinson. No medicine for not. I trust the neurolgolist whom I seen him!
It affects speech. I don't speak ineliglely, but it dementia worth it worse it came. I notice I can't sentences. I am was valetorian my high school class and it sad for mind slipping away from me. I'm working for Johnson Family Tree.

I live in CA. but just went recently to Huntsville, Al. with my son to see where my father came from. I visited Stateline Cemetery where my Vining ancestors are buried and was taken aback about the condition of the old section where our respective Vining and Grandlands are buried. I am researching other families that are buried in the old section as well and maybe getting a plan together to get this part of the cemetery back in shape. I would love to hear from you about this.

This part is taken from Our family history Document

According to information secured from the elder Jamars, the Jamar forebears came from the west coast of Africa on a slave ship to a colony of Virginia. The African name of this group has been forgotten, but it is remembered that the head of this African tribe was a Priest. Whether Christian or Moslem is not known.

The first family names remembered were John (B. 1805) and Ada Jamar. They migrated from Richmond Abermarle County Virginia To Madison County Alabama. They were the parents of eight children. Five of their sons, John, Joel, David, James and Walker were Ministers. The other three children's names were Jerry, Jonas and Mary.
Their daughter, Mary, was the cook and housekeeper for the sheriff of Madison County and the mother of several children. Her only son, Leslie Miller, was a dedicated church worker, and her seven daughters developed their own singing group known as "The Seven Sisters."

Reverend John Jamar was a dynamic preacher. His brother, Elder Joel Jamar, was Pastor and Presiding Elder in the AME Church and one of the founders of Miles Memorial College, an institution of the AME denomination located in Birmingham, Alabama. Joel was the father of four daughters who later taught in public schools in Alabama. Two of his granddaughters, Lena and Cora, were instructors in Cleveland, Ohio.

Born Oct. 30, 1844, died March 4, 1914, never married...He may be the same "John C Ray" listed in your web page. His brother (my great 2x grandfather) was Duncan C. Ray who was with the 6 th, then 2nd Fl Inf...Do you know why so many Walton, Co, men enlisted in the AL 6th?

Hi Phyllis, I enjoyed viewing your site, I have recently became very interested in my family hertiage within the last two years and have really began digging this last year. I can tell you the first couple of months I did a whole lot of research however did not seem to accomplish much, had no clue what I was doing, however since then I have learned a couple of tricks to keep focused along withother helpful folks like you out there. I Ran into a wall with my dads folks Owens, sorry to say I still stay so engulfed in looking for the missing links until I just walk away and come back a month later,boy am I a geanology go getter, haha Owens trait , will not stop even if it kills me, anyway this is my deal My dad is Donald Elmore Owens his dad Elmer aka Elmore Owens son of John Reden Owens and Viola Kellum Owens okay other siblings of course ,but this is the deal, I can find two cencus showing John Reden Owens living with his mom Jeney Owens her showing single him a boy with no man in the house,okay ten years later shows Jeney Owens head of hh, John redden Owens, and now another son Hardy Owens born 1873 , Oh year John R dob 1868 and jeneys 1845 , now the ten year later census still shows no man in the house and also shows her brother leaving with her about ten years her jr.named Stephen Redden. Comments:	Grandparents were Charles B. Owen and Effie LouElla McQuire Owen. Mother was Thelma L. Owen Franklin. I have been doing extensive work on the Owen/Jamar Families. I have seen and been in the Owen/Jamar Cemetry on the arsenal recently. Possibility that I was standing on the ground that the first Jamar home stood. Jamar cemetry is one mile down the road from me on Ziertd and Martin. My sister and I live in Edgewater. Comments:	I'm originally from Huntsville, AL. I've been looking for William F. Lyle & Laura Wilson Lyle with no luck so far and also their son William T. Lyle & Julia Annice Hill again with no luck. When I saw you website I was hoping for a break! Too bad. Oh well, love your website. It's pretty awesome. I would be interested to know how you went about getting copies of obits.
