My great great grandfather was Martin H Armstrong (though sometimes Louis may have thrown in there). I lost him after the 1860 census. I think he probably dies in the war. He was from Missouri, but was born in Mississippi.

I photographed a good number of the Ohioans buried at Antietam and am placing photographs of stones on Find A Grave. I've used information obtained from ancestry.com, National Graves Locator, and your site when the stone was hard to read.

When I finished, would you like a listing of those I've been successful at photographing? Maybe you want to link from your wonderful list?

This is a fabulous page, I wished I'd been able to get them all, and hope sometime to go back.

I photograph and document cemeteries with pariticular interest in military stones...primary interest Civil War Stones.

I love history, I do have a family tree page on Tribal pages but am in the process of updates. Have gotten so into the photographing of stones, haven't done any work on my family stuff in quite some time.

Was looking for info for a friend on one of her ancestors, Cook Robinson, who was in Co. C 30th Regt. Vol. Inf. She has little info on him. But I do have my great great grandfather who was a Civil War vet. of Co. C 134th Oh. Inf. His name was George Washington Hoppas. I have other veterans too from Ohio. You have a great site here.

Brent - I am related to the Reidenbachs originally of Lancaster Co. PA. Are you connected?
My earliest Reidenbach ancestor I know of is Christian Reidenbach who came to the US from Prussia in 1849.

I am the great-great grandson of Pvt John E. Campbell, who I understand, enlisted with Company K, 61st Regiment of the Ohio Volunteer Infantry. He was honorably discharged in October 1862 due to the loss of one eye and Typhoid Fever.
He was born Sept 15th, 1836 Bucks County Pennsylvania and died Jan 3rd, 1931 at Ontario, California.
I do not see him on the rolls and hope you can help me.
