What are your hobbies? family history

I am a descendent of John and Sariah Anna Johnson Eagar, through William Walter Eagar, William Benjamin, Roberta. I live in Springerville, and am trying to do some picture pedigrees for Christmas presents. I have lots, but would like a picture of Sariah Anna Johnson, as a young woman, as all I have is several as an older woman. Shot in the dark I know, but would love to have one, and I am willing to share anything I have with someone who wants some. Thanks, and I love your website, but I couldn't open any of your pictures. Do I have to have a particular address to get into it? Thanks for listening, Sally

hi,
My name is John Neilson, I found this site and it was fanny to do it. I live in Chile, I was born here, but my grandfather came from Hamilton, Scotland. He came to Chile I think in 20's, but unfortunatly he died in 1927, and I did not know him because I was born in 1958 in Chile, and I have lived all my life in this beautiful country. If you have any comment about it, please let me know, I think this is an interesting point of view of the family because all of us come from England or Sweeden.

We have been in Colorado almost two years now and loving it. Notice how our email has changed. Hope you will drop us a note.

Have in the month of August visited with our cousins, Dona Cooper, Karol Palmer, Janelle Pugmire, and Martha Larsen in Orem, Jim Willis by phone and Jerry and Kirsten Linton in person. All look and sound great. We have talked and shared alot of genealogy and plans for this website or a new one. Jerry and Jim are going to work on that end and one day we will announce several chats times, so stayed tuned to this site.

Also new info will be coming to the site on our ancestors.
I have enjoyed reading their journals and will share them as soon as I get them copied. We certainly had faithful hardworking ancestors. They have really come alive for me.

Hope you are all well and will take the time to write each other.

Just want everyone to know I haven't dropped out of site. Things are going well for the Utah branch. Martha is happy to be the sole resident of her home, now that her roommate, Kim, is married. She continues to work for the county and enjoys it. Genelle and family are well and happy (send money for more happiness!) She still works for Deseret News
Daniel is ward mission leader and Genelle is a stake missionary. They are having fun and doing well as missionaries. Earle and Carolin are enjoying their mission in the Washington D.C. South mission. They live in Fairfax, Va. Jared and family are still in Rialto, Ca. and Leanne and her family are still in Citrus Heights, Ca. and doing ok. It seems like as we get older we are beleaguered with various and sundry ailments, but nothing we can't handle. I Am near the end of chemo therapy for lymphoma and all is going well. I was in remission after my third treatment and after the 6th one the dr said I will probably be through with my next one on Feb. 8th. (I was supposed to have 10, the last one on April 12th, so I told him I could handle it)

I want all of you to know how grateful I am for the may prayers in my behalf by so many of my famil. THANK YOU!

With the above good news, I can now work more positively towards the reunion. Strawberry is a beautiful place and I look foward to being able to go there again.

Please note that my e-mail address has changed since I last wrote. I am always happy to hear from family and enjoy reading all of the input on the family site.

Thanks again, Jerry.

My love to all of you

Hello Familly and friends, This is Jimmy Glen Willis, I'm the son of Jimmy E Willis grandson to Faye.. So hows it goin? Just a short note to keep you updated on what Ive been up to... I have recently returned from 2 years of travelling.. In my travels I worked with Inner-city kids from Milwaukee Wi, Chicago IL, Calgary Alberta, Tronto Ontario... With many stops along the way.. An incredible journey mostly in my Ford Fairmont... Returning home I gave up my Apartment In Hollywood, being away so long had changed me, I no Longer wanted to live in a city of 14 Million people.. I moved back in with Dad (Orange County Ca.), to return to school for a bit and Work with Disney once again. Things have been great, If you don't know him, Jimmy Willis my dad is a remarkable and humble person, a pleasure to live with. I'm wanting to get in contact with other family members, around my age of 26. A little back ground on me: I'm bi-racial half Vietnamies, raised Buddhist, and represent a small majority in the family. I've always felt a bit of distance from this side of the family, as i'm from a tottaly different school, or Different perceptions if you will... Anyhow, none of that hinders the interest in my familly... If you can relate of would like to be friends with me, please feel free to Email me at: Spinandmarty@socal.rr.com We can trade pictures, write and all that junk,, Okay? Well Peace, take care in the new year... From: Jimmy

I was adopted and recently found out that my real fathers name was Peter Hans Neilson, born aprx 1918 in San Francisco. My Mother said that his family was from Denmark and that Peter was an Army Pilot in WWII. Is there any chance that I am from the same family tree as yours. It may be my imagination, but there is a strong resemblance of me in that picture you posted of Hans Peter Neilson.

I don't have many comments. I would like to here from other family members my age. Since I don't live in Arizona I don't know you very well, but I hear my uncle Earle (jr.), Aunt Karol and Aunt Martha talk about Arizona. It must be a wonderful place to live. My grandma always talked about Arizona and how I should kiss the ground if I ever go there. I'm confused...does the dirt taste different in Arizona. Grandma seemed to think it was edible. Personally, I'll just have mom or dad honk the horn as we pass the border between Utah and Arizona in honor of Grandma.

See you around.

Please any who reads this note, if you have any little trivia about the family, just a short story of did you know, I'd like to compile and display the story on a board for the reunion to let others guess who they might be with the answers available later in the reunion. Please send to me at my email. I think it would be fun to high light some of the Les and Lucy Neilson children also, so the grandkids can say things they know of their parents. Little known facts or stories. Thanks for your help.

We are doing fine, just working on our yard, cars, genealogy and our kids. Val is living with us until her husband gets out of the service in May. She has a great new job is looking for a place to live.

Bye

Jerry I believe that you are really getting started right. There are a lot of things to be written about the Nielson family which Dona did a really great job, but there is so much more to write. I am trying to write my scouting history for the fourty years, and give you some other information that may be interesting. And I thank you for announcing my Silver Beaver Award to the family in the family news paper.

Jerry! This is great!!!!!! I am so excited by it. This is the first time I've got in to see it. Sears put our computer on back order so I am not yet hooked up at home. I am getting impatience. I have so many things on internet to do. This family website is a great idea. I have some things for you to add when I get my scanner going. Don't give up on me. Thanks, Dona

I remember visiting with the Neilson family at the home of Gib and Faye Richards in Cottonwood in the yard around their trailer many times. I remember the boys killing or trying to kill a chicken one time. I didn't have much stomach for it then.

I am a Neilson family historian for a line which I have traced back to John Neilson in Lancaster Co, PA in 1751. The name was spelled in PA records Neilson, Nielson, Nelson, Nilson, Nillson, Neelson, maybe others. As best I can tell, John was a Scots-Irish Presbyterian who lived among that ethnic group and whose sons and daughters married other Scots-Irish.

John had three sons: James from whom I descend who went to LA in 1803 and kept the spelling Neilson until present times; Joseph who went to OH in 1807 and whose descendants used Neilson/Nelson until about 1850 when they settled on Nelson; and John who went to Va (now WVA) in 1797 and who descendants used Nelson exclusively.

I reviewed your genealogy and it looks like we are two different trees in the Neilson forest which I regret. Your web page is very well done; maybe someday when I become more web-literate, I will post my own.

In the meantime, if a Neilson signs on to your page and looks like he might be from "my" tree, please send her/him my way. Thanks Cliff Neilson
