I have been trying to help a friend follow her husbands line. He's father was Wilhelm (Willy) Dieckmann ( but I found his social security listed as Diekmann. He married a Emma Constapel. Both born in Germany but both died in Ohio. So now I'm following that line to see if I can find anything.

I have passed your site on to more "Kuhrt's" in Canada with many relatives in Germany (Berlin in particular). I am first generation Canadian. My father (Bernhard Wilhelm Helmut Kuhrt) was born in Berlin. He is married to Gisela Sommer from Prussia. Most of my family comes from Bremen -Germany ( a village named Mittelsburen - its off the map). Some came over after WWII. So little is remembered, but I did manage to find a grave of my Aunt (Died in 1938)in Mittelsbuhren. If you have any connections - let me know

My grandmother, Fredrike Augusta Shultz, was born in Toltz, near Massow, Pommern, Germany 10/23/1855. Her father was John Shultz. Fredrike was married in Germany to Friedrich Wolfgramm. Had twelve children. They came to America in 1884, Bremer County, Frederika Twp. where they lived until 1913, when they moved to Tripoli, IA. Just wondering if there's any connection to your Shultz. Can't seem to find any info. from Germany.

This is very strange. My son-i-in-law, David Drewes, gave me some info on his family, and I have checked Rootsweb fo the name occasionally. This is the first time I have seen it anywhere. What's strange is that he (age 53) had a severe heart attack yesterday - they revived him twice - but I just spoke with him, and he's on the way to recovery. I hope I can get some info for him.
