Our family recently learned that the Glass family originated in Ireland and not in Scotland as previously thought. So far, we have traced our family back to Robert Glass, who was born in County Tyrone in 1722. He later emigrated to the Colony of Virginia or North Carolina in America. The family history becomes more clear with the succeeding generations. Hopefully, we will learn more about our Irish roots. On my mother's side, my maternal great-grandmother Casey came from Ulster.
