Names being researched in Sierra County Bailey, Caroline Agnes
Comments:
I believe, from a story my Aunt Cora BAILEY told me, and the fact that I cannot find Caroline Agnes Bailey in the 1910 Census for Sierra County, NM that my 3rd Great Grandmother, Caroline Agnes Maddox Bailey (went by Agnes in her later years) died in Lake Valley Sierra, NM between 1900 (after the census) and 1910. I would love to know where she is buried, if she did, indeed, die in Lake Valley, NM...also wonder if her grandson, William Booker Bailey might be buried there, as I can't find him, but know he, too, died before 1910 either in NM or on his way home from visiting his grandmother (or possibly mother, Martha Robeson Bailey.)

Sierra County Centennial Committee is working toward 2012 celebrations which can be included in a year-long schedule of events. We hope to piggy back on existing events and provide video and photographic history for the period 1900-1920. Do you want more information? We are getting a good start and need your input. I was born in Hot Springs. My mother and all her siblings were born in Cutter.

I'm a writer (www.lizadair.net) and have a new book coming out that is set in Hot Springs in 1936. It's based on my family history.

I was surfing the web, as I'm going to do a book tour the second week in March, and I was hoping to come through T or C. I have a program about Using Family History in Fiction that I present to writers groups and family history groups.

You can see the cover and read a couple of blurbs about my new book at http://www.cecilymarkland.com/

For your old timers, I'm Elizabeth Ashbaugh's niece.
