In my Brewster tree there was Wm. Brewster b. ca. 1837 TN m/1 Sarah Bertram, moved to Pike Co., IN 1868/70. Married 1877 Emily Vanwinkle Pancake, by 1900 he is married to a woman named Melissa and they live in IL. Wm. had three children that I know of, Clerinda b. 1859, James b. 1861 Charles b. 1868. Wm.had a step-dau named Leda DeHart (1910).
Anyone related or know any of these people?

My gggrandfather Ebenezer Church's brother Samuel lived in Pike County Ind. in the 1880 census. You might want to look it up. I have a feeling since Church is not a common name in Indiana ( I live in Evansville), there might be a connection

Hi, just found your web site. Was looking through your names, and came across a John D Thompson. I am researching Thompsons from Pike County Indiana (my husbands family). I have a John D b. 7-26-1866 d. 8-2-1939 this is taken off his tombstone, in Augusta Cemetery, Lockhart twsp, Married to according to the tombstone Millie J (Samilda Jane Brewster????????) b. 3/12/1870 d. 2/17/1906
John D is I think a brother to George T, who is my husbands great-grandfather. Do you have any more info on John D??? I thought I knew their parents, but when I got George T's death certificate, I am now confused.

Have you found any direct descendants of Emory Aaron Richardson? I have found one of his books that belonged to my husband's grandfather. It is in very good shape, but the most interesting part is a photo and one page bio in the front. I would love to see this in the possession of a family member. Being a family history researcher has shown me how much this could mean to a fellow lover of family history. Please e-mail me if you know of any of his descendants that might want this book or at least a copy of the two front pages.

My Half Uncle, was Thelbert Simon Peter Brewster, son of Henry Brewster and Annie Russell....Lived near Winslow...
Thelbert is buried in Somerville, Ind. at the graveyard on Indiana 57.

I found your page through the GenForum for Pike Co., Indiana. I was interested in the Patoka Township elementry photos. I posted this in the forum, but I wanted to see the photos as well. The Miss Bottom that you have in the 1st grade picture is my great great aunt, Ruth Bottom McDaniel. I have a similar photo, but not of the same year. She taught school in Pike Co. for over 50 years. She was a wonderful lady who passed when I was in 4th grade. Are you from Pike Co.? Would love to talk to you if you are.
