I am the daughter of Robina Jane Sparks, who is the daughter of Salathiel Robert Sparks and Nydia Westman. Robina Jane Sparks was born in 1931 and as a child lived with her Aunt, Olive Williamson, who we knew as Aunt Dickie, in Ohio. I knew my grandfather, Salathiel Robert Sparks and, his second wife, Penny Singleton, and although he died when I was 5, I still remember him. My mother is very private about her family, and I only met some of my Ohio Sparks relatives once or twice in my childhood. I would love to know more about the Sparks family.

Seth Franklin Sparks was my great granfather. I'm looking ancestors. I saw the picture of the 1935 Sparks reunion. Aunt Nina was a polio victim at the age of 9. I'm going to send this photo to my only living uncle in the family and see if he can identify more of these faces for you. He was only 5 yrs old when the picture was taken so I'm not sure he will be any help.

I have not had a lot of time lately but keep trying to find more. I would like to add to this...My grandfather was John Sparks, great grandfather Franklin Sparks, great great grandfather John G. Hi,
I'm probably not a direct relationship to your line, but my line goes back to the Fagners. John Fagner who married Dorothy, their son Edward, then his daughter Eliza b. 1884, in Lower Island Cove, Conception Bay, Newfoundland It would seem she was almost lost to many when she came down to Massachusetts around 1900-1908. She was my great grandmother. She married Caleb Reid in 1909, and they had one child. Ethel Bertha Reid Smith b. May 8, 1910, Somerville, MA passed on July 28, 2006 Harwich, MA. Eliza passed on in 1915 of tuberculosis. I know the connection is pretty far back, but I found this page on the off chance that maybe somehow someone would see it and have more information on my great grandmother. The only bits I know are her birth, marriage, and death dates and how she passed away. I know from the one picture of her that my family has that she was beautiful, with laughing eyes and that because she passed away so young, she will be forever seen that way. What I don't know is how she came down here, and when and if she was married up there or down here in Massachusetts. So many questions which I'm sure many other people have read, and with luck have had answered.

I am very very distantly connected to the STRICKLE's of Ohio through the circa 1923 (Ohio?) marriage of Veda J. STRICKLE (1900-1936), d/o Frank M. STRICKLE (1879-1958) & Emma L. WILES?/WYLES (b abt 1880 - d 1959), and Ulysses Stanley SLUSHER (1863-1942). Ulysses was a son of George Washington SLUSHER (1863-1942). George was a brother of my Greatgrandfather, Enoch Webster SLUSHER (1860-1914)..

I do have a specific question for you: My info is that Elmer Franklin STRICKLE (1894-1959) is buried at Garden of Memories Cemetery, Tampa, Hillsborough Co., FL. Is that correct?
Your photos show Elmer's 2nd wif's tombstone as Clara F. STRICKLE 1898-1972. Ask if you known date and place of birth and death? Date and place of marriage? and is she buried at the same cemetery?
Appreciate any corrections and/or additional info that you can add to my STRICKLE genealogy webpage.
