Do you have an ancestor from Mills County? No

My husband and I purchased this property in 2000. We are searching for any information on an old dairy that was located at the corner of CR 510 and CR 517, near the old Centerpoint school. The rock structure is still there. We have been told that the dairy was still in use in the mid 40's. Our trail ends there. Any information would be greatly appreciated. May have been owned by Dora Humphries or John T. Files

Mills County Surnames you are researching? Herrington, Tatum
Do you have an ancestor from Mills County? Yes, my great grandfather Joshua Lawson Herrington, MD and his wife Ella Tatum.
Comments:
Greetings,
Thank you for your website. I am doing research on my Herrington family line and am interested in resources that might provide more information about what life was like when my great grandfather was a physician there. I'm also interested in any newspaper articles about him or his family.
Could you please advise if any of the publications you offer on line might be a good resource for me. We live in Idaho and plan to visit family in Wichita Falls and Dallas this June. If we can work it into our schedule, we would like to come to Mills County and take pictures of the old family house (if possible) and the ancestor burial sites. I also understand some of my great grandfather's medical instruments were donated to the Historical Commission or a museum. Do you know anything about that?
Any tips or help you can offer would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you so much for your efforts to preserve history.
Sincerely,
Deborah C. Davis
(grand daughter of Joshua Lawson Herrington, MD and Ella Tatum)

Howdy, we have some land out off of RR 3023. One of our hunters came across the date 1890 (the last digit is hard to tell) chiselled about 1 foot high into a stream bed. If y'all are interested in this type of stuff, please let me know who to e-mail the pictures and location to. I am a bit curious about it myself. Thanks, Steve
