I have some church records from New Orleans, Mobile, Ocean Springs, and Biloxi that were translated by Alice Forsyth - St. Louis Cathedral Archivist - New Orleans (from years ago). Also, military records for NARA.

I am trying to fill-in many gaps and loose ends of my family heritage.

* My Grandparents were George P. Cox Sr. and Olivia Sullivan
* Great-Grandparents were Pablo Cox and Caroline Ryan.
* 2 Great Grandparents Victor Ryan and Desiree Ladner.
* Victor Ryan and many other Gulf Coast Confederate Soldiers (3rd Miss. Infantry) are buried in Confederate Square, Rose Hill Cemetery in Macon, Ga. (I live in Atlanta, Ga).

I plan to attend a reunion in New Orleans next week and to stop at a few of the Gulf Coast libraries to view the Genealogical information that is stored there. There are probably many long distance relations (cousins) in the area.

(Optional) Researching the following surnames Pablo Cox - Father Irish/Mother Spanish (abt. 1840 - 2/1900) born Port Mahon Menorca Spain. Wife: Caroline Ryan born Biloxi Ms?
(Optional) Reasons for visiting the OSGS site I would be interested in discovering all information concerning ship arrival or immigration of the Spanish Sailors into Ocean Sp
I have a good quantity of information (church records) concerning the line from my family through the Ryan, Nicholas Christian Ladner, Pierre La Fontaine (Canadian French Soldier in 1699), Graveline (early french settler), etc., family trees.

However, I would like to pursue information on Pablo Cox's family in Menorca. I have no proof but I believe Pablo's father was an Irish (Census records) Sailor that was either in or associated with a British or American Fleet. I have communicated with the church in Port Mahone (Mao) Menorca, Spain with no success on discovery. If your group knows of anyone who may have the information on Spanish Sailors arrival in Mississippi (around 1860) or can help me in acquiring a source for that information.

I know from National Archive records that Pablo's close friend was Arnaud Catchot who was a witness to Pablo obtaining a military pension for disability.
