Enjoyed the pictures. Since you have me in your data base, I thought you would not mind my snipping two pictures of Martha Jane Garrision and Martha Ann Sutherlin to add to my family files. Good to see you are still working on your file. Keep up the good work

I just found your web site (from a post on the SUTHERLIN mail list at Rootsweb). I have enjoyed looking at it.

I am a g-g-granddaughter of Nancy Lauretta Sutherlin Ferguson, who was a sister of William T. Sutherlin. I believe that William may have taken in Nancy's two boys Frank and John Alexander Ferguson after their mother died in 1884.

John Alexander Ferguson was my great-grandfather.

Am hunting for any info on Isaac N. Napier, who lived in 1870 in Lawrence Co., Missouri, and, according to Joplin County, Mo. marriage records, married Peachey Adaline Mulvaney July 2, 1882. (Book h, p 167). Believe his mother was Mary Napier, a Tn. native, and that he was born in Franklin County, Ark. @ 1853. Want anything I can find on him, or his bride. Also, anything that links them to a May Napier would be most helpful. Thanks!

Hey, Sir William...

Been awhile... Hope all is good... I know you are very busy these days... Hope the Family is good.....

I became a new grandma Oct. 12th 4:44 P.M.

My first grandaughter ! Breanne Lynn Brown 7 lbs. 5 oz. 19" long.

I just love her to pieces.

I took on the night shift watching her whilst my daughter got rest through the night for one week. Exhausting.... but oh so worth it !!! Newborns require so much !!!

Well,

email me when you can..... take care...

Hello Steve,

I have been looking at your website again and I still find it fantastic ! Only wish there were more information on the Bennett's of North Carolina and Virginia. I believe I have found 3 brothers(or cousins) that belongs to Richard T Bennett. The brother's(or cousins) are: Solomon Bennett, Mark Bennett and Drury ( Drewry) Bennett. In Carroll County, TN. Where our Richard was...on his way to Missouri, there was a Etheldred Bennett listed in the same town as our Richard T and before 1830 mainly 1820 there are the 3 Bennett's... I believe strongly, that one of those 3 brother's( cousins) is our Richard T Bennett's father ! It may look like Solomon may have been the father, in my opinion, because of the age of him compared to the age of Richard. Therefore, Etheldred Bennett may have easily been a cousin or uncle to our Richard. It is worth looking in to.

As far as Mary Russell ( Richard T Bennett's wife) I find that as the census go along, it even shows that she may have been born in Virginia... Probably Kentucky, but, in one or 2 census( Missouri) it shows she may have been born in VA. Also possibly her parents as well. Have a look at 1870 census etc... then let me know, ok?

It really would be great to know if Mary Russell was Cherokee or Delaware.... I am trying to learn the Cherokee language( Cherokee on another side of my family) Lenape Delaware( which is suppose to be Tuckahoe) and off-shoot of Delaware tribe. On another website, it states that Tuckahow was an off-shoot of Cherokee. So, one of these days we may get to know !

Hope all is going great for you and yours...

Keep in touch....

BARB

I have a photo of Aunt Van, Ovanda Sutherlin who was an Aunt of my grandmother. Will send it along when I get it copied. My mother's maiden name was Ethel Sutherlin Latshaw.
