He is buried in Lattaville Cemetery, with his second wife, ? Bowen. Gilley's father was the Rev. Elijah Jeremiah Truitt, a farmer and circuit preacher for the M.E. Church. He is buried in the Bowdle Cemetery, aka the Bowdle Family Graveyard, with his second wife Elizabeth Bowdle. I am very interested in learning more about the Taylor and the David families, as we do not have the names of parents for Eliza Jane Taylor or Nancy David..

Elizabeth Cutright Ramsey died in 1810 in Ross County Ohio – I have her parents as John Cutright and Elizabeth Subre and her husband as Alexander Ramsey. - I am trying to find the date she died, where she is buried and verify who her parents were.
I show she was born the 5th of January 1776 in Monongalia County Virginia, not sure what City. - Her family came to Ohio after the war – her father fought in the Revolution and was given land in Ohio.
John “The Bear Hunterö Cutright died in Springfield Township, Ross County Ohio on the 24th of December 1830. I have him being born in 1747 on the South Branch of Potomac in Hampshire County near Moorefield West Virginia – I show his spouse as Elizabeth Subre. - I’m trying to verify his marriage, his children and his parents.
I found a death notice in the Scioto Gazette dated December 29 1830 – which mentions both him and his wife who died eight days before him.
In the 1880 History of Logan County Ohio –there is a chapter on John “The Bear Hunterö Cutright. Written by Nathaniel Ramsey - - son of Alexander Ramsey – who married John’s daughter Elizabeth.
Elizabeth Subre Cutright – I have no data on her besides her marriage and her death – have been trying to find parents and siblings.

I found Eli McMinis living in Blount County, TN in the early 1800s. I found a Hannah McMannes on the Monroe COunty, TN census. Blount and Monroe Counties adjoin. My G G Grandfather Henry Schriver was born in Ross County in 1815. He married Elizabeth J. Weaver ,farming and raising a family. Around 1845 he sold the farm and the family migrated to Illinois where he farmed until homesteading in Kansas in 1860. It seems quite possible that GGGrandpa Henry is the namesake for this Earthworks.
Have any of your readers investigated this similarity of circumstances? I would be greatful for any infomation about this family.

Family oral history says that Hugh Stuart (possibly Stewart?) is buried on a hilltop near Frankfort. He died about 1824. The plot was later conveyed to Robert Stewart and other heirs, to remain as a family burying ground. My grandfather described it as a "conelike glacial hill", and noted at one point that part of it later was excavated for its gravel. Does this cemetery still exist? Rachel Berry married Christopher Baker in Ross County in Sep of 1812.
Her parents were Thomas Berry and Margaret Baldwin. But Margaret had died earlier and Thomas married a Sarah Curtis. After Thomas' death in 1806 Sarah and children moved to Ross County. Any information on Sarah's death would be helpful. The only children I know for sure is Rachel by Margaret and Curtis Berry by Sarah Curtis. But supposedly she came with seven children.
Christopher Baker was born in Virginia. Around Rockbridge. When he arrived I don't know but he was there by 1812 for the marriage. His parents were Christopher Baker and Katherine Staly.
The census of 1820 has them Richmond, Ross, Ohio. They have left by 1830.

I'm currently reviewing a proposal for a new water tower that is in the reported location of the Gordon Cemetery in Huntington Township (per the data sharing with the Ohio Historic Preservation Office by the OGS). The archaeological survey for the project showed no evidence for the cemetery. When I asked where the cemetery was in relation to the project, the engineering firm found two headstones along Rinehart Road about .8 of a mile southwest of the reported location. I suspect they have been moved. Does anyone have any information about this?

Would like to know her maiden name, and if Anthony arrived in New Orleans, then migrated upriver to work as school teacher in Ohio, or if he came in through Pennsylvania.
Apparently Anton married previously in Muskingham Co. Ohio,
Muskingum County, Ohio Marriage Book #3, 1835-1848, 977.191 Vo 2m #3, p. 10-Anthony Beiker (Schoolmaster) to Mary Ralph 26 Sep 1843, marriage performed by J. Gallinger.
Mary died and he then married Elizabeth somewhere, would like to find that marriage.
