My father, still living, is Richard Orton Horn, now 93, served in the Army Air Force at Hondo Field in the Air Force Ordinance Division, serving in the base motor pool through 1945. There will be a gathering of World War II
veterans in Washington, DC, in the spring of 2010. I'd like anyone to contact me via email by others who may
have served with Dad or to be contacted by them or their surviving family members.
Thank you.

I have been trying to locate burial place for Elizabeth Mathis Parsons Williams. My resources tells me she was born in Georgia and came to Arkansas with husband Edmund Parsons. After Edmund was killed in the Civil War in 1862, She moved to Texas with son Lewis Manuel Parsons and remarried to a Frank Williams sometime in the 1870's. That is as far as I can get on her..Any more information on her would be great!

Love the web site, great job. I am a descendent of
John Hardin Wilhite
Charles Dellaye Wilhite
Jewel Merle Wilhite, my grandmother.
There was no credit for John Hardin's photo. Do you know who has it and is it from a group photo?
Thanks

I'm hoping you can help me. I'm researching information about Van High School. I'm looking for the lyrics to their (1)Alma Mater and (2)Fight Song. I'm also seeking information of the VHS Pep squad. I have an incredible picture from 1938, but I don't know anything about the history of this group. I think they were the Red Jackets, but not for sure.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Dru Ann Clark

I find your site to be most helpful in my search for my Van Zandt County ancestors. I sang for the funeral of a direct descendant of Isaac Van Zandt, and met many of his family. I have been looking for info on Frank Adams and through your site, I find that he was still living in 1896. Thanks, and keep researching. There are many of us who are looking on your site to find our ancestors.

Great website. I am researching the family of my great great grandfather, Edward Flowers, born Feb 1861 to (I think) N. B. Flowers.
Edward was murdered in Oklahoma or Texas between 1904-1907, and was married to Syrena Morton (born Sept 1876).
We don't have too much information on Edward

Love your site. My parents were raised in VZ County (Gilbert Stroud - Colfax, Norma Seale - Cream Level). My great-grandfather Louis Manuel Parsons contributed land for the founding of Little Hope Baptist Church. Please let me know if you have any VZ researchers working with the Kimbriel surname (eg George Kimbriel, Rast Postmaster). I married a Kimbriel whose family lived in Durant OK, and we've often wondered whether our families knew each other long ago in VZ county. Thanks / Charlie Stroud

Your web site is the best I've seen yet and, to top it all off, it's very user friendly (which helps!). This is the model that should be used for ALL Texas counties.
I am researching my grandfather's family....Alfred D. HARDEGREE. If anyone has a photo of him, I would love to see it since I have never seen one before.

It definitely is not for me as I have had the great honor of working with you in the past and know that anything less than professional and user friendly would not be acceptable. Keep up the good work. Thelma

I love all the newspaper articles and pictures of WWII people who served. I really like the addition of actual articles. One thing that might help others, on cemeteries it might help to add whether you have to have permission to be on land if it is privately owned and # to contact.
Great job Sibyl.
