I have DuShane early, in Delaware, through one of my mother's mother's maternal lines. My ancestor, Rachel DuShane married one of the grandsons of Antoine DuChesne of Staten Island. If you would like to add me to your DuShane researcher's list, I would appreciate that. Please do share my e-mail addy.
I am still working to untangle the many Delaware DuShanes and the crazy spellings et al. I wonder if yours comes from the Joshua DuShane, Rev War vet of the Pennsylvania militia.
Ours, from granmother's bible info handed down to me:
Rachel Dushane (maiden name unknown yet) married (probably Anthony/Andrew) DuShane who d. 1759. Children Andrew, William, Hester, Lydia, Andrew. Rachel married (2) John CAZIER (wid), possibly one more child, Susannah. Rachel died in Pencader Hundred, DE in 1779. Dau. Lydia married Andrew ELIASON.
I think but cnnot prove yet that our Rachel has some relation to the Van Bibbers off Germantown, PA, and Newcastle Co., DE.
Willing to work and share with any desc of the Delaware DuShanes.

Just drifting through looking for long lost Butterfields. My great grandfather Edward L. Butterfield came from Michigan. Don't have his patents names, so was hoping to find a link with your family. Will let you know when I have investigated further. I have some information on my grandfather James Charles Butterfield who lived and worked in Maidenhead, Berkshire, England. I do not know where he was born but his father's name was William. James Charles was married to Mercy Annis Wells and they had eleven children.
