Found Land Records - VA land patents & grants/Northern Neck Grants & Surveys which located Thomas Thomason's 150 acre 1703 grant on Governors Swamp near a Col. Johnson's plantation and a 200 acre 1714 grant both sides of Long Creek in the Parish of St. John back of Wm Fleming's land a mile above falls of Panmonky. Both located in King William Co.

My great-grandfather was a farm hand named Baylor ROANE in 1880. I think it's possible that he worked the fields for Mr. James E. ROANE whom owned 31 slaves. My family still owns property in King William Co. Va. I'm just trying to tie the loose ends for an upcoming family reunion.

I feel that the "african americans" of King William feel like the whites of this world owe them something. To my knowledge, whats in the past, IS THE PAST. I disaggree with Hannah Crews, this county was founded by Settlers and Indians. Now if you feel I am a racist now, dont. Some of my best friends are black. But when the Black culture starts asking nothing but African American infomation, to me, it feels like they dont like us and that they are racist. I think we should stop all this ruckus and become friends like god has inteded us too. Violece, hate, they are horrible. Love, the best thing to ever happen. Why cant we all stop with the certain information thing. Im sick of seeing that. Like the NAACP of King William, if we can live together, WHY MUST THERE BE A NAACP. What about the WAAWP.
