I'm still a beginner but have made a lot of headway since last summer researching my Loyd ancestry. What caught my attention on your website was that my father's name is also Marvin Loyd. He is 92 and has lived all his life in Atlanta, Georgia. He delivered milk to downtown Atlanta in a mule-driven wagon with his father. In stirring my dad's memory this fall I learned that he was named Marvin after Bishop Enoch Marvin, a Methodist leader of Francis Asbury's era. Daddy's grandmother, not his mother, had told him this, but he had forgotten. If you're interested I have much more to share-- also a lot more to discover!
