I don't think I can make the dinner event next summer as I am pretty sure it conflicts with the dates of our trip to Alaska. I would however like to make a donation to the scholarship fund. Is it tax deductible? How and who do I contact?
Thanks

Carol,

I have taken the liberty of borrowing a photo from your site of your class of 1979. I have used it to illustrate my (unpublished) novel, which I am making available free online at http://lowriver.blogspot.co.uk/2012/06/chapters-twenty-eight-and-twenty-nine.html

No profit is being made from this site. It does include a link to my Amazon page, but as the story is being made available for free, no one bothers to follow that link! I credit your picture as follows: With thanks to St Johnsville High School Alumni, 1979 http://stjalumni.org

If you or any of your members would like me to take the photo down, just let me know and it will be gone!

I hope, however, that you don't mind. It is a great picture!

All the Best,

Judith Ann Bunting

Congratulations to the class of 1962. I am glad you made it to your 50th reunion and are still alive. Not sure if anyone will remember me (or want to) but I taught IA 1960-62. I was just out of college and St. Johnsville was my first school. I was not much older than the students I had. I want to express my feelings for the people of St. Johnsville and thank them for treating me so well. You are a great class and I can picture your faces even today. I would also like to remember Mrs. Berkdorf, Your real advisor. She was a great lady. Life has been good to me and I have no regrets. Often, while driving down the NYS Thruway, I would glance over the river to catch sight of St. Johnsville and the school on the hill. Long ago and far away. Love and best wishes to you all. DAVE

School was fun. Class of 61 just had 50th reunion. What a blast we had and seeing old(we're really young) classmates some of which we haven't seen since 1961. For those of our classmates who didn't make it, you missed out on a really good time. Some of our classmates came from long distances and some locals didn't show up. I missed not seeing you who didn't make it and to say tge least you missed a really good time.

Some genuine advice to the class of 1984! DO NOT miss your class reunion! The moment I walked into the room last year (Class 0f 1983) I realized how lucky I was to grow up with such great people. St. J didn't offer alot of opportunities, but we were taught what was important and how to treat people. I know you all open doors for a lady and your elders! Take the time to see some old friends and you will make memories that will stay with you. Peace Pick

I remember my friend Debbie was in trouble with another girl because she was dating the girl's old boyfriend. The girl challenged Debbie to a fight - told her to come alone. Debbie asked me to come with her, and I did. And the other girl showed up with a gang of friends - about 5 or 6 people.

There were words between them that I don't recall, but no fight. It took me years to figure out why there was no fight (considering we were outnumbered). Then it dawned on me a couple of years ago. My grandfather was chief of police at the time... Smart girl, Deb was.

Why not come to the alumni banquet and stay a while for the sesquecentennial?

I remember that after our senior play one of the boys went outside and then came back in and told another one that he had a worm in his mouth and was going to swallow it. He did have the worm but he pretended to swallow it, so the other guy, not to be outmatched, went out and actually got a worm and brought it inside and swallowed it in front of everyone.

I remember a trip to New York City with the French Club. Our advisors were Miss Rapacz, Miss Walts, and Miss Jane ?

I did not go to New York City with the senior class in 1948, however, but did go with the French Club in my Sophomore year.

Our class was a congenial group during High School, but haven't had many class reunions over the years. Perhaps we can get together at the Alumni Banquet on July 21, 2007.
