Went to school with Darlene Gedney...My mother grew up near what is now the golf course in Gladwin, MI.She was born in 1918 , is still alive and was familiar with the Gedneys, Ferrels, Foutchs, Berrys, Dutchers, Hubers, etc. in the area.

You've done a great job on your site! In your file you have listed Henry Stoner married to Orissa Hall. They are my Gr-Gr-Grandparents. But you also have Henry married to Elizabeth Maltby. Since I can find no trace of Henry after 1870, I was hoping this might be a new lead. Do you know any more about this marriage, or have you any info on Henry after 1870?

Just found your tree! Very well done!! We had some photos that you have and now know who these people are. I think I had seen your name before but did not connect earlier. I am doing my ex-wife's family - Charles Hunt, James Howard, Thomas Pearson and Johann Engelhard Helmke families, concentrating on the former, as there were 200th and 210th celebratrions in 1994 and 2004 and made connections to the Degeer and Helmkay families. I had contact with older members of the Degeer family, but many questions arose from their notes. Kent DeGeer has been in touch with me. Margaret's line was of James (b1777 in NY) and Kent's line was Peter (b1772 in NY), which we have deduced were brothers, as well as John and Michael).
Can we share notes? I am just finally getting the James Degeer family into Family Tree Maker and so far it is nearing 280 pages. I will get my other notes along with Kent' comments starting shortly.

Thomas Page(1832-1913) who married Susan Jane Haines (1845-1945) was a first cousin of my great grandmother Elizabeth Page Knight (1829-1901), Thomas came to Canada in 1847 with my great grandmother, her parents and two sisters. They came from South Newington, Oxfordshire, England. Thomas, in 1909, stated that he was with my gr gr grandfather William Page (his uncle) when he died near Blenheim, Ontario, but he did not say when that was. I may have some dates and/or records that you would be interested in.

I am related to Nancy Delilah (Post)Close,I have been collecting information for a couple years, I have a copy of a picture of Nancy, Charles, Vaynard, Nellie and Bert Close,(Nellie was maybe 2-3 years old), that I recieved from a living Aunt related through the Post line, she remembered Nancy, James allen Post and Joel Leander, she also gave me a copy of BF Post and all his children taken in 1916 at his wife Ruhama's funeral in Paulding,Ohio, she didn't have a picture of Ruhama(Louthan) which is why I'm leaving a note, I'm looking for a picture of her to add to the album I am putting togther for my children.

Catherine DeGeer and her sister Mary Ann DeGeer are both my great great grandmothers, one each from the maternal and paternal side. Also, Mary Ann DeGeer's son James Benjamin Tracey (my great grandfather) married Rosetta Hudgin (not Rosie Hadgin). I have a list of their descendants. Are you interested? Otherwise, you have a fabulous website. I assume your American? Also, we here in Canada have a founder of the Canadian Buttonville. His name was Major John Button (my gr gr gr gr grandfather). much of what Iread concerning the DeGeer family in your accounts I already had, but some I did not for which I thank you.
Some of what I have read suggests thye arrived in Fonda from some aprt of New England but I cannot find a link. I would alo love to know when they first arrvied in NA, where, where from and why. Have you had any joy with these questions?
