Still looking for information on Marcellus George Brooks, an orphan b. 1854 in Ohio, who married a Massachusetts woman named Arrolyn Small in Chicago in 1874 where he had a plumbing business. I changed my email address, so please write me here if you know of these people. I am also interested in finding out about Marcellus' sons, Charles L. born in Chicao in 1882 and Arthur L., born, Chicago, 1878. The third son was my grandfather, Frank Melvin, b. 1876,who lived and died in Columbus, Ohio. There was a daughter, Edie, who married and lived in Ohio too. If any of this rings a bell for anyone, please contact me!

Dear Frank,

I was so excited to find reference to the Sasnett family on your website! I believe my husband is the great grandson of the Thomas Jefferson Sasnett in your tree, grandson of Hazel Sasnett - his name is Joseph Siecinski. I have spent the last several years researching my side of the family, but haven't gotten very far on Joe's side. I'd really appreciate any information on the Sasnett family that you could/would be willing to share. I'm also really curious where you fit in the tree?

Please let me know if there is something about Hazel's family that you'd be interested in as well.

Thanks so much, happy holidays and best wishes

Lynnette Vedder

I'm descended from Howard Wendell Brooks, whose father was Frank Melvin Brooks (mother Arrolyn Small, father Marcellus George Brooks.) Marcellus Brooks was born in Ohio in 1850 and married a Masachusetts woman in Chicago or shortly before going there, where I believe he lived the rest of his life. He was an orphan and I haven't found what town he came from in Ohio, or his parents, nor do I know when or where he died. Any information would be wonderful! Frank was born in 1876, and had brothers Charles S. b. 1882 and Arthur L. born 1878. A nephew, my father's cousin, was Melvin Brooks, who went to California with his father and mother as a young man, I believe Pomona. They had a plumbing business there.

I guess I am visitor #46. I talked to Maxine today and we are coming to visit and exchange info sometime next week.

I like your web page. It is easy to use and has lots of good links. See Samantha Albritton for our branch of the tree. Will supply more next week.
