Hello, I really enjoyed your site. My ancestors lived in Freehold Township from at least 1840 to 1900. The ones that I have identified so far are: William H Hubbard Price b VT 1805, and his wife Harriet Engles b 1833 Canada; with children (all children born in PA): Ursula Thankful Price, 1849, Lewell 1852, Adolphus 1853 PA, Deville 1855, Orville 1856, Isabella J 1859, Victor 1861, Grant 1864, Belle 1866 Lilly 1867 Ida 1872, Stella 1875. Next door in 1850 to William and Harriet were her parents: George and Catherine Engles and Catherine's parents Andrew and Catherine Willson. George and Catherine's younger children: Sarah George W, Andrew and William also wilved with them at this time. In the same area at the time were William H Hubbard Price's brother Rosias Price and his wife Elvira and their six children. Living in the area, and I am not sure if related are: James, John and Hugh Willson and their respective wives and children. I believe these may be children, or more likely, grandchildren of Andrew and Catherine Willson.
By 1900, Adolphus still lived in Freehold Township and so did Grant and Belle. Grant and Belle lived together with their mother, Harriet, who by then was a 66 year old widow. Harriet's eldest daughter, Ursula Thankful Price married Levi Jenks from Harmony, Chautauqua NY and moved to Iowa. There they had Ida Jenks, born in 1873. I think its interesting that Ursula went on to raise six children of her own in Iowa. She out lived her first two husbands and her eldest daughter Ida. Ida Jenks married Michael Joseph Clarkin from the next county in Iowa and their eldest child Marie Ursula Clarkin was my grandmother.
I have been doing genealogy for over 30 years, but it is only in the last few years as so many records have become more accessible that I have really made any headway in identifying these people other than by family stories.
My primary goal, besides continuing to work on the actual histories is to write a series of stories on the women of my ancestry for my own daughters and nieces. There were, and are, some amazing women in my family who lived lives of dedication to their families despite incredible circumstances and I think the message is an important one to continue to give my children and nieces.
I hope you are able to continue to keep your site going and I salute you for your efforts.

I am descended from Linus Hoar Miller or Sugar Grove. Linus was my g/g/grandfather.
Linus and his second wife (Clarissa Clark)had a son named Richard Bishop MILLER, probably named after Linus's brother of same name.
Linus's son Richard lived in Jamestown, NY vicinity, and died in about 1891. According to his death certificate he was buried in Sugar Grove, (Cherry Hill cemetary), but so far have not been able to verify this.
Linus and his brother Richard Bishop Miller both have headstones at Cherry Hill Cemetary (Linus's brother is actually buried elsewhere, I have learned).
I have not personally been there, but so far cannot find anyone who has seen a headstone for Linus's son.

My mother, Winifred Dorothy Cramer Jones was born in Warren, PA on June 8, 1911. Her parents were Elizabeth May Clark and Carl A. Cramer. Elizabeth was also born in Warren to Rosetta Helen Morrison and John Clark. I have extensive information on the Morrison family and know that they were some of Warren's first settlers. I have no information on John Clark other than he was born in Wilon, Michigan. Apparently he died early as I also have information that Rosetta married John Lee. This is my second entry here...please excuse my ignorance!
My grandmother was born 17 Sept 1901, in Warren, PA..
(In Cornplanter (?)). Her birth certificate was not
filed until 19 Dec 1901. It was then filed in ORPHAN'S
COURT!! Her mother, (Nellie (EIGHMY/EIGHMEY) CEAS/CEASE),
was 'incapacitated' somewhere, for a period of twelve
years, beginning just after my grandmother was born.
(My grandmother's name was Allee Aldee (Irene) CEAS).
This was a very hush-hush topic of conversation, so, the
tiny bit that I have heard from family members, through
the years, is that my ggrandmother was in prison, for all
of those years. After a years research, I am also thinking
it could have also been a mental institution, that 'kept'
her, for all of those years.
I have been successful in checking all of the census,
for the mental institution in Warren. She is not there.
How about the newspapers? Twelve years is a 'hefty' sen-
tence! (Even if the circumstances were "manufactured"
by my ggrandfather!) It seems that that would be
newsworthy.
Does anyone know, if the libraries will allow inter-
library loans, to other states --- on the other side
of the continent???

I found two Buell's in your list of the Cherry Hill Cemetery. I was not looking for them here, but was very glad to find them. What I was looking for was one death and one birth. My great-great-grandfather, Oden Benedict Noyes died in Sugar Grove on January 28, 1871. His son Ralph Day Noyes was born in Sugar Grove on December 6, 1863.
I am looking for those two documents. Can you tell me how much it will cost me? I will need to send a request with a check. If you have a particular form to use, please let me know.

My husband grew up in Warren. his name was William F. Maier, Jr. . He was born on Dec. 8, 1943 and died Oct. 3, 1997 in Orlando, Florida. We did visit once for about a week ( Warren is a very lovely place ). I got sick while there and got to see the emergency room and everyone there was very helpful and concerned. I had to get some meds while there and the neat thing was the doc called the pharmasist and as late as it was that night he was kind enough to open long enough for me to get the meds.
sorry did not mean to go on for so long. and please forgive any bad spelling but if you would help me find out when the Maier's frist got in Warren i would be greatful
