Tim - I linked to your tree on Geneanet and found my BOND family - my grandfather was Eldridge Lafayette Bond of Madison and Elbert Counties, GA and my mother was his oldest child.
After many years of research and contact with the premier Bond researcher, Nancy Guest, neither of us find ANYWHERE that Charles had a middle initial - and did not sign his name with any (will - Goochland County, VA), however his year of death was 1775 in Surrey Co., Colony of N.C. where he had moved to live with his son, John, who was killed by the Indians Mar 1781 Cowee N.C.
Mary Parks Bond went to live with one of the family in Franklin Co., GA (Elbert).
Do you have the 'old' Bond manuscript?

Hi,

I saw your generations on Rootsweb. They are my grandparents also. I descend from Eltonhead Conway and Henry Thacker SR. Her parents are Edwin Conway, SR and Martha Eltonhead daughter of Richard Eltonhead and Anne Sutton.

Here is the link I saw at Rootsweb.

http://wc.rootsweb.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=AHN&db=dowfam3&id=I61952

Anne Sutton's parents in my line are Peter Stanley and 2nd wife Cecily Tarleton. I noticed you have Peter Stanley's parents as Peter Stanley and Ann Harington. That is an error and I wanted you to know about it as you have pretty good data at Rootsweb. I am on a medieval genealogy mailing list and have books by Douglas Richardson, who I know, who has written, Plantagenet Ancestry, Magna Carta Ancestry and the new set of Royal Ancestry. I have these books.

Actually Peter Stanley's father is William Stanley that married Ann Harington dau of James Harington and Isabella Radcliffe.

Here is what I have on notes on Peter Stanley that married my Cecely Tarleton from my Family Tree Maker.
________________________________________________________________________________________________

PETER STANLEY was the founder of the STANLEYS of MOOR HALL near Aughton in Lancashire, England.

" Praye ye the good estate of PETER STANLEY SEQIR and CECELY his wif with their children who caused this work to be made in the yere of our Lord God a thousand CCCCCVI.
So runs the inscription over the doorway on the south front Moor Hall, the most interesting and historical residence that we possess in Aughton."

PETER STANLEY was the founder of the STANLEYS of MOOR HALL near Aughton in Lancashire, England. He was the second son of SIR WILLIAM STANLEY, KNT. of HOOTON in the Wirral of Cheshire. by ANN HARRINGTON. On 26 May 1528 his father granted him lands at Little Stourton and Great Stourton in Cheshire. He married ELIZABETH, the daughter of JAMES SCARISBRICK, by MARGARET, the only daughter of THOMAS ATHERSTONE of Bickerstaffe, aand after his marriage he acquired MOOR HALL and its lands in 1533, when the reversion was conveyed to him by WILLIAM BRADSHAUGH. He had a daughter MARGARET by his first marriage who married HENRY STANLEY 26 Sep 1653., son of SIR JAMES STANLEY of Cross Hall.l. ELIZABETH died in 1557 and was buried at Ormskirk.

On 21 April 1559, PETER married secondly to CECILY, daughter of RICHARD TARLETON of Walton. (this researcher's grandparents.) Over the doorway of the present MOOR HALL, there is an inscription, asking for prayers for PETER STANLEY and CECILY his wife, who caused the work to be made.

" He was Standard Bearer at the funeral of EDWARD, Third Earl of Derby, who had bequeathed his body to be buried in the Parish Church of Ormskirk, and a Chapel to be erected. The obsequies took place on the 4th December, 1572, and were accompanied with the most lavish expense and magnificence. PETER STANLEY was fourth in the order of procession, and is described as " An Esquire bearing the Standard, with his hood on his Head," and Horse trapped to the Ground, garnished, with a Shaffron" Escutcheons of Buckram Metal, on each side two "PETER STANLEY."

At the Reformation , he adhered to the Old Faith, and during the years of prosecution, he gave shelter to Catholic priests, who continued to say Mas in the private chapel of MOOR HALL. PETER was required in 1584 to provide a light horseman accountered at his expense for the Queen's service in Ireland (or pay a fine of L20)

" His will was proved 7th August , 1592 (published in Chetham Socy.'s vol 51)." PETER died and was buried 24 July 1592 at Ormskirk, styled óf Bickerstaffe.'He held seven messauges, lands and meadows at Bickerstaffe, Aughton, Ormskirk and Skelmersdale, also lands at Netherton and Rainford, and a house and land in Upletherland óf the Queen by the yearly rent of 6 pence.'

CICELY died before him in 1658 and was buried 28 Nov at Ormskirk.
_______________________________________________________________________________________

This is what I have on Peter's father William Stanley.

WILLIAM STANLEY, Knt., Hooton (in Wirral) and Storeton, Cheshire, and Stanley, Staffordshire, was Sheriff in 1526, he married ANNE HARINGTON , daughter of JAMES HARINGTON, Knt., of Brixworth, Northamptonshire, by ISABEL, daughter of ALEXANDER RADCLIFFE, Esq. WILLIAM STANLEY was knighted in 1513.
_____________________________________________________________________________________________

And this is what I have on James Harington:

SIR JAMES HARRINGTON, Knt., of Westleigh, Blackrod, Bretherton (in Croston), and Elston (in Preston), co. Lancaster, Brixworth and Hulcote, Northamptonshire, Drumbeth, etc., co. Cumberland, son and heir, born about 1447 (aged forty at his father's death in 1487). He married before 1465 ISABEL RADCLIFFE, daughter of ALEXANDER RADCLIFFE, of Ordsall, Salford, co. Lancaster, by AGNES, daughter of WILLIAM HARRINGTON, Knt., of Hornby, Lancashire. They had one son, WILLIAM and eleven daughters. SIR JAMES HARRINGTON died testate (P.C.C., 18 Horne) on 26 June 1497. In the period, 1497-1500,NICHOLAS HARRINGTON his brother and heir male, sued his widow and executrix, ISABBEL, in Chancery regarding the "detention of deeds relating to the manors of Brixworth and Hulcote, Northamptonshire; the manors of Westleigh, Blackrod, and Ellerton, and land in Pulton, Fyswyke, Dynkeley, Pennington, Preston, Lancaster, Ihalton, and Bolton, Lancashire; and the manors of Drumbeth, Bothell, Bemond and Brunskath and the advowson of the church of Bownesse, Cumberland.

[Reference: List of Early Chancery Proceedings, 3 (PRO, London, Lists and Indexes, No. XX): 426]. In the period, 1500-1501, WILLIAM RADCLIFF, gentleman, receiver of DAME ISABEL, late the wife of SIR JAMES HARINGTON, knight sued NICHOLAS HAARINGTON, brother of SIR JAMES,in Chancery regarding "refusal to prepay rent paid in advance for lands in the north parts [i.e., Cumberland] of which defendant has disseised Dame Isabel [Reference: List of Early Chancery Proceedings,

4 (PRO, London, Lists and Indexes, No. XXIX), pg. 28]. In the period,1504-1515, WILLIAM STANLEY and ANNE his wife, daughter of JAMES HARRYNGTON, knight sued JOHN, son and heir of GILBERT ORMESTON, last surviving feoffee to uses in Chancery regarding "half the manor of Elston, Lancashire willed to the said ANNE [Reference: Ibid., 4: 385]. ISABEL, widow of SIR JAMES HARINGTON, died 20 June 1518..
_____________________________________________________________________________________________

I hope this helps and it would be nice to hear from you. I was trying to send you this info by your email address you have posted at Rootsweb but it came back not delivered. These lines go back to Henry II of England and on back to the Conqueror, etc. That is my lineage.

Sincerely,

Secondly, and more important, do you a ged com of your web entries I might obtain to check out my site? Already tried to match what I have with just a couple of your pages, and it would take me two or three bottles of booze to see which one on us may be in error.
Most assuredly it can't be me, I'm one of the good guys, remember?
All seriousness aside, HELP in the form of a ged come from you would really help. Have a great day. Marv from MN (ye old dummy)

Tim,

I'd like to find out if you are doing DNA genealogy, as so many of my Surname searches on GeneaNet end up showing you.

The latest was a search for Afronin, that turned up Samarin, Webb, and others that are surnames claimed by a DNA match.

Starting a web site .. NewNetherlandsShadows.org .. nothing there yet .. You have at least some connection to it through the Ten Eyck tree. (have excel data base fast approaching 125K direct and properly placed descendants of Coenradt Ten Eyck. Planted roots in New Amsterdam abt 1648)
One prominant feature will be forums for all families with trees rooted there. May be looking for forum moderators, though nothing will be up until late summer 2013.
Any interest?

I saw your tree on Ancestry World Tree Project. I saw Christine Teal listed. She was mother of Charity Florence who was married to William Cook. They would be my great great great grandparents. Their son Nathan Cook was father of my great grandmother Sarah Cook. Looking for more information on Teal and Florence family. I am interested in any veterans of Revolutionary War and War of 1812. Thanks for any information.

Your 2nd great-grandmother (Emeline Elizabeth ARCHER) is the sister to my great-grandfather (George Lester ARCHER).

Just last month I located and placed flowers on his grave in Nebraska. You can check here for the details and pictures if you are interested. http://talesfromthedriversseat.blogspot.com/2009/10/more-family-found-and-still-heading.html

I found some errors and additions on your tree posting on RootsWeb.

Mary Luella ARCHER was not married in 1866, as she was born in 1869.

This is amazing and why has it not come out to the public? If this is correct and it appears you have researched very thoroughly then as much as it pains me to say, our President should not have been elected. I do not agree with most of his views, although some of his ideas could be very good if presented in a different format. This is so scary of why a background check evidently was not done.
